Re: For those with 2019 Plus Reliability?

Comparing apples to apples. My 2005 Titan had some issues IN 225K. But certainly no Transmission rebuilds or engine issues. Its not that Toyotas and Nissans do not have issues. I am just surprised the Ram has 10X the issues after supposed years of improvements. From recalls to small things like the ...

For those with 2019 Plus Reliability?

As I am over 100K now, which would be break in time for a Japanese truck and my 2018 Power Wagon has been extremely un-reliable. From electrical glitches to transmission rebuild already. ( started failure at 63K) The stark difference in reliability after owning Japanese all my life is truly astonish...

Next Big Update?

What do you think will happen with the next big Power Wagon update and when? At my mileage rate I will be ready in a few years! My wish list; 1. Front Locker that works with out mods 2. Sway Bar Disconnect that works (make it water proof) 3. Shock Upgrade 4. 35s 5. Standard sliders 6. Complete Skids...

Well, my Sway Bar Disconnect never worked once because its not water proof. And I had to install a bi-pass for the front locker to function. Not sure how much worse this could be.

Re: Battery time

These stock batteries are amazing. Other vehicles I have had barely got 1.5-2 years out of the shitty stock batteries. Yeah - I'm keeping the Stock Mopar battery in my garage for now - it never failed to start the truck! Mopar Battery.jpg On my 2005 Nissan Titan it leaked and melted everyt...

Re: which tire is standing up the best

1. So what I have so far was 12K on the Duratrash and dozens of flat tires, and one destroyed tire, and crazy cupping. Good traction 2. 39K on BFG MT set, which I waited too long to rotate and had some bad cupping. The best by far for traction. 3. I am at 26K on the Nittos, rotated once and no signi...

Re: Need help. What does my PW have?

Quick question, is the smart bar supposed to allow disengagement in 2wd? I disconnected the plug to it and looked inside to be sure it wasn't corroded and it wasn't. The rubber seal was in good shape and intact. It gives me the dumb flashing light randomly like it's trying to disengage and the 4x4 ...

My cab lights were replaced with out me even asking on a recall visit. Sun Roof leaked in a car wash once.....Ok, so I might have left it open on vent. Really, surprised it did not leak more honestly.

Re: be glad you have a pw

you can go to the ford forum and see the joints on them new trucks are failing with less than 30k mi of just highway miles. hell my corrolla was at nearly 200k with perfectly tight original joints and it traveled the same highways 235K on my Nissan Titan and never replaced them. Probably needed the...

Re: Noise in 66rfe transmission

That is an insanely long list of high failure parts. I know folks here don't like it when I say it, but things like terrible transmissions has held them back for decades. Watched a test video yesterday of a brand new PW on an articulation ramp and as usual Sway Bar Disconnect was non-functional (min...

Re: Cable comes off drum

I went with 92' of 15K Smitty Built line. Warn line was crazy ridiculous. Should have ordered it sooner but thought I could sneak by for awhile. The shoe string broke and cable spun on drum again when I went to clear up a hill side pile up the other day. Did you guys that upgraded to synthetic switc...

Re: Engaging Lockers

Exactly, on most 4x4s there is a big delay when a locker locks normally, and they can be finicky given drive-train stresses and such. Or building up air say. But the Power Wagon lockers are click and go, no fuss no muss. But they have a long time design flaw preventing that operation until you over ...

Re: The "Real Reliability"

Should I have replaced the tires sooner? Sure. But you never expect them to be THAT bad. And I am cheap, I hate replacing the tires on a new vehicle. Remember most of the flats were commuting to and from work, not off-road. Wife drove my truck one day and came home with 2 flats. The final straw was ...

Not much to it. You turn the knob to lock the diff, in low, sitting still preferably. If it does not lock after 10 miles of going back and forth in and out trying everything under the sun...and every owner, every automotive testers struggles to ever lock the front, to the point owners are installing...

They said connector was loose under warranty, went back and they said it had mud in it and handed me a 90.00 bill to add grease, next time out did not work. Most everyone on here fights this connector. I have not looked for it yet.

Of my list I have seen on this forum before, 1. Duh, everyone buys a locker bi-pass, and Ram watched all the embarrassing off road reviews for years 2. Nearly everyone fights this connector, attempting to grease it to keep water and debris out 6. And dealer tells everyone its light bulbs 7. Many peo...
