Re: Acceleration lag?

Seems like all modern trucks are that way, things like pedal commander help. I put one on our 4 Runner.

Re: Grind/rub on Acceleration

Sorry guys forgot about this post. Yes, my issues was lockers engaging randomly at speed. I had moisture in the locker over ride box. So I moved it. Will also try to seal it better.

Re: Grind/rub on Acceleration

I am getting some issues on my 2018 now as well, over the last week or so. At times even turning it feels like the LSD is sticking.( but most times not at all) But I also got a nasty clang, clang pulling away from a stop sign yesterday and a buzzing under the dash from the traction control.

Honestly I think they work perfectly as a step. One exception, if they are wet.

I swear, no mud puddles or anything.....Boy you feel it when the heat comes on and you don't need it. Yeh, I know real Power Wagons don't have heated steering wheels... :notworthy:

Re: Summer Gas

I wondered if higher octane would gain mileage, but the of set in higher cost....I just could not believe it. Same thing last spring, all the sudden I fill up one morning and get on the road and the MPG meter just starts clicking up as fast as it can. My wifes Fourunner sees barely a .4 MPG differen...

Summer Gas

Ok, one more for today. Today my gas mileage went up 2MPG basically. I am sure its summer gas, first tank. I amazed by how much that Hemi hates winter gas.

Re: Tire Cupping

I have never had to rotate tires before on a vehicle. I assume it has something to do with the solid axle, or suspension set up, ect.....I do live in the mountains. Discount tire does free rotations, its just finding the time. Guess I will go every 5K or so. Thats a ton given the miles I do for work...

Tire Cupping

So the Dura Trash did in 3K miles and the BFG started at 15K. Even had an alignment done but was not needed. Seems to be the nature of the beast on these. I plan to rotate tires every oil change now, 9K-10K. But not sure if that is even enough. How often does everyone else rotate?

-40 Degrees Today

That is what the Power Wagon said when I got in. Heated seats and steering wheel came on with it being 52 out side and looked down to see -40 on the gauge cluster. I was at 8500', maybe the altitude caused that somehow? Went back to normal later....

Re: 2019 Ram HD - WTF?

I am going to make it out to Moab before I get rid of it though. I watch the threads about the Moab trips and so badly want to experience that adventure. A word of caution. I know of many people who quit jobs and moved west after one trip to Moab. My uncle in Florida even refuses to go, knowing the...

Re: Locker Bypass Rebirth

So my sway bar disconnect definitely is not working now. Light might flash a little, go dark, and eventually back to solid connected again. I am assuming this has nothing to do with the locker bi-pass kit install, just the usual flakiness ram has refused to address. I plan to have it checked under w...

I had problems like that with all sorts of things gone wrong, like bent axles. But something is wrong and needs to be diagnosed. Also you should add a signature with some vehicle info.

Re: No lights in the Locker Knob.

It is so odd to turning the locker switch and just have the lockers come on. Sure is annoying FCA wont address this 14 year old design flaw. Is it really a design flaw? Or an intentional annoyance? Either way, it's annoying. I call it a design flaw. I get we don't want folks locking diffs going dow...

Re: No lights in the Locker Knob.

I have owned a huge list of vehicles with a stock locking rear diff, Titan, 4 Runner, numerous Monteros, ect. And none had major issues going in. Monteros can be a little stubborn going out. All had nannies. So it does not have to be this way. But the locker over ride kit is absolutely fantastic.

Well in my 38 years I’ve seen a lot of loose nuts on the web!🤣
When I first saw this string I was thinking the recall solution would be to replace the drivers

Re: Wench mount broke

Guess I have done a lot of pulling while winching, but something like a running start like with a snatch strap, that does sound like trouble. I would think of damaging the drum or something in the motor. If a 16K winch and a 7K rig driving in reverse in low range with lockers on does not do it. You ...
