Just curious if anyone has done this to their PW:

Ah a fellow Airstream/Power Wagon setup. I tow a 2016 Classic. PW and AS make a superb combo!

Re: 35" tire for those of us that tow?

Ya the Hutchinsons are sexy. But I'd only gain .5" wider wheel for $2K. They are probably heavier than the OEM wheel too and harder to balance.

Re: 35" tire for those of us that tow?

Bead"lock" probably isn't the right term for the OEM PW wheels, maybe bead retention? The bead seats seem more pronounced than other wheels.

Re: 35" tire for those of us that tow?

Yes, I want the higher ply and sturdier side walls. My PW spends most of its life with payload maxed out so I would like the buffer. I'm reading online that a lot of people say they run 12.5" wide tires on 8" rims (slightly narrower than manufactures minimum recommendation of 8.5" wide wheel) just f...

35" tire for those of us that tow?

So I tow a 10K lb trailer regularly with my '16, I need E rated tires with off-road capability. The problem I appear to be running into is the 8.0" wide stock PW rim. Every tire that I desire in a 35" requires a 8.5" wide wheel minimum. Such as the Toyo Open Country M/T. Is it never advisable to go ...

Pointless weight/overkill would be one way to describe that bumper.

Re: Power Wagon's and Airstreams?

:bump: ProPride is awesome. There are pivot point projection hitches... and then there is everything else. After you've driven with a pivot point projection hitch you will never go back to lesser designs. As for slide outs, if you really think about it all they do is open up empty floor space. I gue...

Re: Power Wagon's and Airstreams?

Here is an update to my experiences towing an Airstream with a Power Wagon: 1. I added the 3" AEV Dual sport lift kit. This kit puts the standard OEM 2500 coils on, and tosses the PW coils. This was a substantial improvement. I highly recommend it for safer towing. The squat in the rear went away. ...

Ya, I hope it isn't just chance/luck that the stumble hasn't happened to me since the computer updates. I had them BAD. Whole freaking truck would buck fore and aft. I also never bother with Tow mode unless I am towing.

Not much of a fan of the tire tread seat pattern. I prefer the normal leather seats in my Laramie. The rest of the truck looks great though. :D

Re: Chrysler Extended warranty

I have the lifetime powertrain warranty with mine. Required to bring it in once every 5 years for inspection. They do not tell you when the 5 years are coming due either. If there are ANY LEAKS AT ALL in the engine, transmission, t-case, front axle, rear axle, cooling system, power steering systems...

Re: 15' PW 1500 RPM Stumble

Not the fuel pump, it's electric so the problem would fluctuate with all-RPM's if it was an actual fuel pressure/filter/regulator problem. Not sure if you've read it so far, only does it filling up at certain fuel stations (relatively low-utilized, possibly more moisture or ethanol in fuel? Tune do...

Re: Need more HP/Torque???

Wow this thread went way off topic. ;) I couldn't imagine having that much power and the resultant gas-mileage! My transmission already failed on my 2016 PW stock at 6,000 miles, I couldn't imagine with another 150 HP. Really? What failed? The transmission valve assembly had to be replaced. Not sur...

IMO the truck should have came with 35's. 33's are just too small. With 37's you just have to sacrifice too much.

I definitely don't like the look of wheels/tires sticking way out. To me it feels as if the person doesn't know anything about wheel offsets, etc and done half-ass'd.

Re: Moab Comparison - Power Wagon vs Raptor vs Tacoma TRD

They didn't even do anything difficult that would show off the strengths of the PW. You know an "off-road" competition is pretty bad when it includes drag races and driving down dirt roads. I do off-roading in my PW that a Raptor nor Toycar wouldn't have a chance in hell getting out of.

The factory rims are nice enough that it's one of the few stock wheels on vehicle I have no intention of replacing. Although if I did, the only wheel I would ever consider is the internal bead lock Hutchinson Rock Monster Wheels: http://www.rockmonsterwheels.com/products.php?product=dodge http://www...
