Discount has mounted both sets of my tires too without issue despite the weight issue.

When my trailer’s loaded to over 18,000 pounds (over 26,000 pounds gross) , it handles poor on the 33’s. Why would anyone choose 40’s to haul heavy. Just doesn’t make sense.
Why are you towing 18k with a Hemi Power Wagon anyways?

Re: New 2018 Power Wagon Owner

Thanks for the welcome BoldAdventure! Marcus was great to deal with. He is working on a few more rack ideas for me. The Airstream is a 2011 23' Flying Cloud. Wanted a bigger one, but the deal we got on it used was to good to pass up. I am still having to get used to not gunning the gas. With a dies...

Re: Gears?

A couple of questions: 1) There are a few different gear suppliers out there - is there a particular community favorite / consensus best bang-for-buck? 2) What ratio? Is 4.56 a big enough jump? I agree with Low_sky. Hopefully, Reloader will comment soon. He's all but sold me on moving to 5.13's. As...

Re: New 2018 Power Wagon Owner

Hi everyone, I got my PW in September in Tacoma, WA. I previously had a 2015 Ram 1500 Eco Diesel. I loved it, but it was not very offroad capable and it had air suspension (I hate those). I am loving the PW, but as you can imagine, coming from a Eco w/29 mpg, to a PW with 11 - 13mpg, is a big shock...

Take it out. It's easier to do with that thing removed than with it in the truck. I know it's a slight hassle, but you'll have better luck.
2X! Twinstick takes his out everytime he greases his.

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

Seriously, you guys have no idea how much better these trucks are off-road & over obstacles with low gearing. There is considerably less stress put on the drivetrain components with super lo gears vs trying to power up or bump up & over obstacles. That's why Uni-Mogs freakin' ROCK! They have gearin...

Re: 2018 PW w/ 1.5 inch leveling kit. Shock question.

What DamageWagon said. Don't be the dork who we all told repeatedly not to use the shock extensions, used them anyways and then broke his shock mounts and still argued with everyone about. :thppt: Thuren's Overland's are pretty decent. You can use them in the front with the OE Coils, but they work b...

I still want a 4:1 transfer case or a better crawl ratio. I can barely hold my truck anymore in 1st gear low. Pretty disappointing.

Re: Reloaderguy's Build Thread - Content Removed

So, I just borrowed a photo yesterday. And it was pointed out to me. Honestly, I didn't realize that I was the perpetrator. In my mind, I was thinking about people who repost others stuff to boost themselves up or promote their brand with others content. And what I was doing, was trying to help some...

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

I will say, I agree with comments about the 6.4 feeling gutless or lethargic. The 5.7 in my 1500 felt very sporty and responsive. And it only had 3.92 gears. The 6.4 in the PW works. But it feels like Ram designed the engine around the idea that a construction worker or a landscaper was just going t...

Actually there are a few, however, they are all ugly as shizzle. AEV hasn't because really, the front sensors were an option and didn't seem to pop up everywhere until the 2017 when I think they've become standard. My 2015 Laramie doesn't have them, but a friends 2015 Laramie does, but he also has t...

If I had to guess who’s on a closed road in the backcountry, good odds it’s a Toyota driver. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That's not likely for Travis Haley. I recall him claiming to be an ice climber and posting pictures of him getting guided up Stairway To Heaven. That dude is an Instagram ...

Re: 2018 PW Front Bumper

The center is narrow so the bull bar looks a little weird. Maybe consider tying in the outers. Yeah, I'm gonna look into that when I talk to a fab guy. Marcus's orginal bar design would work well with a Thuren Bumper. He never finished those ends, but there is one laying in my shed. Nice and tight....

Jebuz! When your your trendy overland bro Tacoma gets jacked in SoCal those lifters are going to hit pay day with all the goodies you leave lying around.

Overland Tacoma Bro + Tactical Bro

Two stereotypes merging. Probably listens to Georgia Florida Line.
