Re: 2.5s versus 3" Kings

Mike---I am installing mine this weekend and next. it's good to hear your feedback, you've put all of these changes through its paces about as much as any single person on this site, aside from a handful of other guys with some of the "less-gen" older trucks. I agree with your list of improvements....

Re: BUILD THREAD COMMENTS

Couldn't the originator/owner of the build thread just keep editing/adding build specific stuff to a couple initial posts instead of adding to the end where it gets mixed into others comments. Then people can look at the end of those initial posts for the build and ask questions get responses from ...

Re: 2.5s versus 3" Kings

I have 2.5's and don't feel like I need more shock. Would I have bought 3.0s if they had been available at the time? Maybe for the right price but Don had to talk me into the 2.5s to start with. The truck rides great and the bigger the tires the better it gets. Not everyone needs race shocks and th...

Fine, we will try the moderation approach. Limit the "That looks nice" and "Cool" to direct questions related to the build. And not commentary.

That's nice! I think you're going to really appreciate the Kings. ETA: How did my comments in ADeluca's thread end up in this one? Becuase the build threads have turned into a shit show. The end goal is to eventually remove all the comments from builds, so they are just build threads. Not discussio...

Re: New Member

sales guy had no clue. I tow around 7-10k pretty regular so I'm a little hesitant but thankfully I don't need to push her too hard. I love the ride and the cushioned feeling vs. the Tradesman so I am willing and able to modify to increase the towing capacity. Currently very interested in Air Lift o...

Re: grill guard

Most of them that mount to the lower radiator support or worse and do not provide any actual protection past a bush. Can't take deer strikes for example.

Re: Towing Capacity

I think it will do just fine. There are guys on the FB group pulling enclosed trailers, horse trailers and farm equipment around all the time closer to 15k. We tow regularly but are closer to your dry weight fully loaded without any problems. You've got the 5.7 so you might be a little low on power ...

Re: 2015 Needs a new battery

I’ve tried others but haven’t found anything better, Trojan agm is comparable in quality though. I run two Trojan AGM 8D batteries in my bluebird all American. There’s almost 5000 cca combined lol. Been starting the cat c7 even in 14* Fahrenheit that we had in my part of Texas this last winter. I’v...

Re: Recall done

I'd always thought it was useless, but it's actually pretty damn nice on incredibly long downhill crawl descents. I don't use it much anywhere outside of Moab, but trails like Moab Rim and Top of the World that when you are going downhill, you're on the brakes the entire time. Low and 1st are not en...

Re: Recall done

Yeah, I've been pondering on those two as my truck finally runs the way it should. Not looking to go backwards. Mine too. I now have three outstanding recalls and I doubt I'll bother with any of them. Same. After the whole deal with Larry H Miller charging me and arm and a leg for a "diagonstic" to...

Re: 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon spied

I think I might of been wrong about the whole lower valance thing. Maybe.... I just was noticing on the Rebel that the same styling is on the rear bumper. And it might just be the same "styling" with the 2500. It doesn't actually appear to be a taller bumper. Also.... if the 2020's interior is going...

Re: Dethloff Mfg - Rack Owners

How simple would it be to plumb electrical through the side bars and down into the bed support recess? Very easily, I believe it's already been done for a guy in Alaska. i wanted to mount compressors in my rambox, and mount the tank, air ports and valves, lights on the side bars. what is turn aroun...
