Re: Why has AEV turned to such shit?

Yeah, I actually watched the whole series last night with the wife. Looks like there is one more video coming out. I was talking to Marcus, and he was saying that bumper is better for strikes like against a deer, but not for repeated rock strikes like a plate bumper. It seems to show, because it loo...

Re: Why has AEV turned to such shit?

Oh you didn't here, that's because they chose to mix Carli parts with AEV parts. (claims random fanboys on FB) --- On a serious note, this lead me to watching more of the series and somehow I ended up back on part 3 and that is not the first time they were having issues with the drive line coming ap...

Re: Factor 55- "Winch Hooks"

It is for synthetic. Says so right there on the page. Most everything they do is geared towards that. Would have assumed they'd mentioned it when they stood right in front of my truck and suggested the larger Flatlink E. The Flat Link E is only rated to 3/8 without the load spool too. The small ben...

Re: Intial Impressions from a Noob

If you look at the product refresh cycle, Ford refreshes the most, followed by Chevy, and Ram almost seems to watch what works and then implements.

Nissan will release a new style 13 years from now. :excited:

Re: Intial Impressions from a Noob

The Titan was a pretty nice truck when they were first introduced. Then Nissan forgot they made a truck and let it rot for literally a decade before they got back around to an update. Realy shame. Competition left them in the dust. It was some serious competition when launched back in 2003. I rememb...

Re: Factor 55- "Winch Hooks"

I'd ask them. They are around the corner from me. Damagewagon and I went into their shop and talked to them in person. On their site, the Flatlink E say's it fits 3/8th shackles, but the whole reason I bought it, is in person he was telling me it would better suit the Power Wagon because I can use 7...

Re: Factor 55- "Winch Hooks"

Hate to dig up an old thread but there is some good info in here. I need some clarity though. It looks like only the xxl versions will fit our 7/16 factory winch cable? But those versions are too big to fit snug up against the fairlead? And they are also have higher ratings than needed. Looking at ...

Re: Airlifter 5000 Ultimate airbags w/ Daystar cradles '14+

I have a much better solution than using bags. Removable gas shock. Install when towing, pressurize, and drive. Remove when done towing, just release pressure then remove pins. Boom, bang done. All you need is a power tank with some nitrogen. Not too terrible. Way better ride and handling then stick...

Re: Thuren vs. Carli

My truck has not been easy to tune because of the modifications I have made. The truck cap, bed system, and spare tire carrier have totally changed the chassis handling characteristics. Had I ordered parts from Carli I would likely just be SOL. Thuren, on the other hand, has gone way beyond reasona...

Have you guys ever thought about inviting Chrysler along or to donate something cool like they do fir the Jeep dudes?
I'm trying to avoid us needing things like group insurance and registering with Moab as an actual event for as long as I'm volunteering and we're not huge. :poke:

There is a lot in Utah as a whole. But wasn't the title of your thread "Poser Shots in Moab" - thus Moab discussion :thppt:

The maze is pretty cool too. We have 13 trails and one overnighter picked out already though.

Re: Poser Shots in Moab

Oh, that is the road is down there... way-way further south down by Powell. Interesting, I didn't realize that was technical. That explains why it's not on Trail Damage or in other places. I was assuming a much shorter trail within the greater Moab region. Shorter being under 100 miles. That's too m...

Re: Dodge Off Road brand reliability

They randomly have poor fitment issues that I do not understand. Part of it is that their parts have a lower quality plasma cut so sometimes you need to drill holes open to make them work. Sometimes parts come backwards or impossible to fit. They earned a very poor reputation regarding how they han...

Must not be resellers trying to buy these. I would of figured if you could pick up on for 8-12k you could turn around and sell for 16-18k private.

Re: 17 dual alternator install

$750.00 Pft.

If you know a good alternator & starter shop, they can usually rebuild/upgrade them to a higher output using a kit for half that cost. We had a place in Tampa that I used that rebuilt my 180 on our Trailblazer to a 260 unit. Cost me under $200

Or get a kit and do it youself.
