Re: (New) Toyo A/T III

I never liked my Toyo AT II's. They were good on the highway and that's it. They were noisy. Were okay on dirt forest roads. Mud, nope. Moab rock, ok if you had traction. Wore okish. Rain, mhem.

Abel Components Swaybar ByPass Install Video

Two packages showed up in the shop. One from Canada and another from the east coast! In this video, I go over Maple Offroad's Skid Plates & Abel Components Swaybar Bypass kit. One attendee to PWIM this fall will have the opportunity to win a Swaybar ByPass kit for our raffle which benefits the Utah...

You could always use this as an excuse to upgrade to a free spin hub kit, like Dynatrac. $$$$$$$$$$$$$ Plus I shift in and out of four-wheel-drive 3 to 4 times per day when it rains just backing out of the driveway I’d hate to have to get out twice each time. Premier is a brand at the shop recommen...

Re: Anybody build a driveline protection solution that works?

the lower gawr in the front is because the soft springs. i suspect the rating of the axle itself is 5000 or possibly 5500. it could use a 7000 lb axle but would still be limited to less than 5000 because the springs PW axles are actually the same or higher rated than non-PW axles. Front is 5700 and...

The ones with the holes, are IMHO, not very attractive. https://media2.giphy.com/media/zvfqPJbVLlvS8/giphy.gif +27mm I'd like to see some tall skinny's. No one makes them anymore. It might be a hard mover. But 38x12.50 or 39.12.50 would be cool. I have a feeling that more people are going to be try...

Re: 100% cure for death wobble

Although I figured this out about 10 years ago... I figured I would share. Like many of you I was throwing parts at the problem. Finally broke down and took it to the dealership. The mechanic came back after 10 mins and said it was the steering stabilizer. I proceeded to argue with him that I just ...

I'm using McGards. They haven't rusted yet after 10 yrs.
The quality isn't what it used to be. I have them on my Airstream (installed 2014), no rust.

I put them on the truck (2018), now rusting.

Reloader, I've thought about the centrimatics too but it's not low speeds where I get DW, it's above 65. I don't get any strange vibrations at low speeds. After doing the buddy test, the TREs are tight but I am getting play at both ends of the track bar. I also have a cracked/split/deteriorating bu...

Re: 37

Well, from an owner, not sure I'd buy one again. The company was very dishonest about many things including lead times (some guys gave up after 14+ weeks), Park Assist (forget it, they'll never work) and latch operation. The latter was really the deal breaker for me. Countless times they would jam,...

Hey, hey, now. I believe the OP wanted to hear from people experienced with tire fitment on a 2020. So I have read thurens site and a few others , so will 37" tires with a 25mm offset actually clear with minor trimming, no lift yet, in the 2020's ? I know this is not the question everyone wants to hear.

After you enter your PIN to reset the Hub, go into the CHECK ENGINE section and read all faults, then clear all faults. Th...

Re: 2013-2018 Change Dealer Settings Yourself: TPMS, LED, HID, Tire Size etc With AlfaOBD!

Is this tool able to accommodate gearing changes as well? Like switching from 4.10 to 4.88 or 5.13, or do you have to calculate for a tire size with the equivalent final drive ratio as the 4.10 and 33's? Sorry if its a dumb question, but I didn't see that touched on in this thread. It will do that ...
