Weirdness with Nav after Time Change

So maps and all software updated during the summer. Latest and greatest. I believe the last automatic update took (I accepted and followed instructions.) Sunday morning the clock was wrong. Like way wrong. And then as I drove the compass was showing the wrong direction and the map showed me going th...

Reroute the Cargo Cam?

Anyone done something interesting with the cargo cam ? Looks like the same connection at the camera as the tailgate cam. Thinking front or trailer cam would be more useful.

Re: 2018 Power Wagon Brake Issues

New brake pads (and front rotors) made all the difference on mine... Frankly, the rotors were likely fine, the stock pads suck, and the install of pads helps with a quick bleed (compress the pistons, force the air back to the MC). They are big, heavy, stout brakes. Pads and a bleed should make them ...

Yep. open the package and plug it in. Super simple. I have one on my '16. I have the old school hard mounted one on my '01 (XP9.5) and it works great, too.

Re: Tazer or ProCal

The Procal works very well and is easy. I also have the hardware locker bypass (rather than the software style of the Tazer) that I am quite fond of. That being said, looking at he additional features, I would likely do the tazer if I didn't already have the procal mainly to get the same features (f...

Re: Trans cooler bypass valve delete?

hmm. THis is interesting. My transmission always runs 172 which is pretty ok in my opinion. However, I didn't realize it was a mechanical ball valve and not electronically controlled. On my old 46RE, it wouldn't shift to OD if the fluid dropped below 100 deg, and it would drop during extended lock u...

Re: Traction control on 2011?

I'm a TC hater as well. Damage Wagon is it potentially torque management? My Chevy was horrible for that. Only would do 40% of max throttle to 10 mph then could go wide open. Suck to do a burnout, but would do doughnuts like a mofo once you got the wheelspin up. At least on the PW, when I shift 4wd ...

Re: Backup Camera Relocation -- Harness

I was thinking about trying it on my travel trailer, so that would be like 30' or so. Not sure if that would work... If you think it's possible, let me know what it would cost.

Backup Camera Relocation -- Harness

Anyone spliced/extended their back up camera harness? I am considering doing a secondary camera location and looking for insight. (I have the dual camera with the one in the cargo light.)

Re: So, I crunched my right rear door at Moab

Adds character...

Yes, $600 is smoking deal. My Chevy was hit in the side by a neighbor one day, door repair (similar amount of damage) and a little bit to the quarter panel, plus a repaint of the entire side and insurance picked up $6k.

Re: WK Sliders - To diamond plate or not?

I didn't want the diamond plate in the northern climate as running boards collect ice/mud really bad. They worked great there. Now that I am in Houston, I would have got the diamond plate as I have a lot of different clients etc. in and out of my truck. They work great for me personally though, but ...

Re: Tire Cupping

Every oil change (8 k miles) at a minimum. On my other vehicles I have always done every oil change so 3k miles on my 2nd gen and my Ranger and about 10 k miles on my Chevy. Even the Ex's CTS I did every oil change (just side to side as they were different sizes). The Chevy I burned through the trea...
