I have. Many times. In Moab primarily. To the point where I needed to lock up going down hill.

Re: New Rear Bumper?
Guess what, they fold into your bed the moment you tap them. That's what it's for. Hasn't been my experience? definitely was not the case on the second gen. I do get the need/want for the tire carrier. Doesn't work for my applicaiton. My point is, the bumper needs improve functionality, not just be...

Re: New Rear Bumper?
So, Devil's advocate. If a rear bumper isn't for improved appearance, and has no winch mount. What is it for? My second gen stock bumper was more than adequate until I took the bed off. On this truck, I hate the chrome, and I need a winch mount. Who cares if I crush the ugly chrome bumper as long as...

I use jackstands at all points on my Wk sliders, they definitely work! (not counting pivoting off rocks and sliding on them)

Re: Big Mods to a 2014+
Ok, that makes sense. I am seeing crate HC engine for $15K, would the swap be worth it, or would it make more sense to build the 6.4?

Big Mods to a 2014+
Five years since it has been out, anyone done anything super cool? engine, transmission, custom paint? The platform is great and the aftermarket is really solid for off-road (sliders, suspension) but performance seems lacking. I did look at some of the MDS lifter eliminator kits ($1200 for cam and l...

Re: ARB solenoids and reliability/longevity
Failed a few. Froze up a few in winter weather while while wheeling. Broke an air compressor due to the body flexing. The lockers themselves have kicked ass. It’s a complicated system to lock them (or your say bar)

Re: Sliders
I think we all respect there are multiple solutions to every problem. trust me, I felt sick to my stomach when I dropped the coin on WK, but I also bought the PW over an F250 because there was aftermarket for it. But I was super pleased with the quality and realized the time I would have spent to fa...

Re: Sliders
I have done some pre-fab welded ones on my second gen. The fourth gen is so much more complicated, not to mention, I prefer not welding to the frame. Plus, a lot of wires and other things going on compared to the second gen. The WK are works of art. How they made them to bolt on and support this kin...

Re: Sliders
The WK are top notch. My 2nd gen ones were very nice and much cheaper. But welded to the outer frame. The WK are no comparison. They are so precise and fit awesome. Again. The Aluminess might be great, haven’t tried them. But for a frame mounted, no drilling required I doubt you can get anywhere clo...

ProCal Fail (not AEV, Dealer)
Got my recalls done (5!!) today. Ask the dealer to turn off the seatbelt chime and do the key reset to the RFH so the ProCal tire pressure would take. Well, dealer wouldn't do either, but fortunately after the reflash, I could turn off the chime as per the instructions (3 unbuckle/buckle in 10 secon...

Re: Locker Bypass Rebirth
I think I am out of warranty? 64k miles and 3 years? Never took my truck to a dealer. Magnuson - Moss act should force the dealer to demonstrate that the bypass was the issue. Given it's a unique harness, unless it's a short in the smart bar or an actual locker issue, it shouldn't be related?

Looks better with 80 psi in the bags, and not having the front tire on the sidewalk.

Re: 2nd Battery -- Gen 4.5
Starting off with this jump pack. Might do a charge circuit off the trailer charge circuit to "trickle charge" Can plug into the two gauge for more rapid or throw the 120 v charger on it at the house.

Re: 2nd Battery -- Gen 4.5
Yeah, I was considering bed, but its not exactly what I want. I already have 2 gauge on the drivers side to the bumper for the rear winch, so wiring is in place. I don't think it would be visible under the bed? my air compressor and such aren't at the front. This might work. Need to do some measurin...

Yeah, third gen. I don't think that mount would work on mine. I believe I will need to mount on the side but load directly from the bottom. (Or upside down but top load with side mount.

Re: 2016 and 2001
They are at 50 PSI! Tires are at 60. should have seen it at 5 psi and 30 psi in the tires. probably 200 LB of spares in the bed, plus spare leaf springs on the tongue. Normally I use my WD hitch but guess they lost that at work.
I'll take it up to 65 psi tomorrow.

You want to see PW's in the wild just move to Houston. I saw 4 on my way home Friday (including the one that my employee bought a few weeks ago). Is there any good wheeling or fun stuff to do around Houston? I have been there dozens of times (probably closer to a 100) but only for work. My company ...

Re: Locker Bypass Rebirth
I am loving this mod. I am using lockers in both 2wd and 4 Hi pretty regularly. Winter, deep slushy snow, its more of get out of a situation than crawl. Plus instant engage disengage. The quality was great and the install was easy. Hardest part was find a place for the control center. Otherwise, cli...

I had cracked my DS LED stock tail light about a year ago. It was getting a lot of water into it, so I was researching alternatives. Then last weekend I smoked a post and took it out altogether so time for a decision! I didn't like the oem chrome, so I was planning on doing the OEM Sport ones, but I...

Technically not two Power Wagons but new pulling old. Old has 50:1 Crawl ratio, lockers, no nannies, and beadlocks. It's seen a rock or two.
