And rear for best Gen https://www.justdifferentials.com/AAM-11-5-OEM-Ring-Pinion-5-13-Ratio-p/aam11.5-513-oe.htm Damn, wish we had of had this thread a few months ago. I would have ordered these up. That is for Worst Gen but it is the only AAM 5.13 and will fit with the correct conversion pinion be...

So, if I read this right, would this be a direct fit, no spacer for our trucks (other than early 3G)
https://www.justdifferentials.com/AAM-9 ... 13r-oe.htm
No, that is the GM IFS pattern front gear. You need a spacer.

Re: 37's Not Balancing

Not surprised, Cooper is a budget tire and gets negative reviews for excessive weight to balance. I'd return them, it's just too much trouble to try to make questionable tires work. For reference, my 40's aren't balanced and are not even close to how your describe your 37's.

Re: AlfaOBD

I did not know about this until I read your post a couple days ago. Too bad I bought the procal a couple months ago. Does the AlfaOBD require a dealership visit to remove the TPMS warning light? Regardless thanks for the PSA. Steve You need the 4 digit pin for your BCM which you have to get from a ...

AlfaOBD

If you guys haven't heard of AlfaOBD by now you should take a look. It is software that programs the BCM as well as a few other control modules such as ABS. The software allows you set tire size, change TPMS threshold, switch TPMS to TPIS, disable the foglight drop out (with brights), disable the bu...

Re: Gears?

Mike can't handle 40's. I do see where he is coming from though. I would have to guess that 40s with a 6.4 feels much like a turd, even with 5.13s. And then to have to tow with it... People with 40's aren't towing anything substantial... Show us your substantial towing that you think can't b...

Re: Gears?

Mike pretty much hit all of the points. I think 4.88 is the common ratio for 37's but is a mistake. Most people probably call Randy's R&P and they tell them 4.88 because that is technically the lowest available gear set for the Chrysler 9.25 front diff. However, 5.13 is far better ratio for 37's con...

Re: Front Diff Blow Up

Rebuilding a 231/241/271 takes an hour or less. All of the parts come out and new parts just drop in. Taking out the old case is the hardest part of the job. They are also very cheap used. What actually seized in the front end?

Re: Front Diff Blow Up

I assume that before they install new parts, and before you pay them, they can articulate what specifically was wrong and what specifically was changed. Transfer cases are generally pretty simple, did they rebuild yours or replace it? If replaced, why? Why was the driveshaft rebalanced? Did they ins...

Re: Front Diff Blow Up

Appreciate the commentary guys. I can learn something from that. FCA Care is now saying they probably cant cover due to the Carli aftermarket parts (springs, control arms). I am curious if that may have something to do with the situation via premature wear... I'm seriously thinking its time to sell...

Re: Front Diff Blow Up

There's only one way to properly fix a leaking pinion seal. I suspect Ram doesn't authorize under warranty the proper way. Over tightening the pinion nut can cause the pinion to seize up. Im sure you are right on with that statement. I dont know about the OP but when I told the service guy mine was...

Re: Krown...Rust Check.... Fluid Film

Look at the first page of my build thread, I posted a picture of the rocker cut open. When I closed the rocker up I had to spray rust inhibitor in the cavity. The only way to access the outer chamber was through holes ported in the divider close to the holes taped closed from the factory. You should...

Re: Krown...Rust Check.... Fluid Film

Yep, there are drain ports all along the bottom of the rockers. There is also a divider panel down the center of the rocker, you need to peel back the tape and look for the additional access ports inside. If not there is a good chance you're only spraying the inboard half of each rocker.

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

I will say, I agree with comments about the 6.4 feeling gutless or lethargic. The 5.7 in my 1500 felt very sporty and responsive. And it only had 3.92 gears. The 6.4 in the PW works. But it feels like Ram designed the engine around the idea that a construction worker or a landscaper was just going ...

I still want a 4:1 transfer case or a better crawl ratio. I can barely hold my truck anymore in 1st gear low. Pretty disappointing.
That's because the ABS computer map changes for the range selection. Pull your ABS fuse and see how it feels.
