Re: Ford Tremor

I just drove the Tremor with the 7.3L and I’ll say this, it’s one hell of a truck. The ride quality is on par with my Power Wagon, the transmission shifts are smooth, and it feels like the the truck has plenty of power. I just can’t get past the $71,000 sticker price. Ford is going to sell a lot of...

These things have just been a huge surprise. Feels like cheating honestly.
Cheating performance wise or not really the size marked on the side? Putting 38's on Ram trucks is pretty well known at this point. I think Don was running 38's in 2015.

You can't do that screamed the internet!!!! You'll spend just as much as me and my 40's cried the AEV owners!!! Umm, but you did spend as much. Post some pictures from the side. What does that tire and wheel combo weigh? One of the major downsides of 40's and beedlocks is the weight, I th...

Re: THE BIGGEST TIRE YOU CAN FIT

There’s about a $4-5,000 difference in cost of entry between 39’s and 40’s just in flares and wheels, and a $5,000 difference in vehicle value when you do AEV flares; that would be more but you’re already doing some trimming to fit 39’s so it’s not like it’s going to stay all pretty and new. It’s a...

Re: THE BIGGEST TIRE YOU CAN FIT

So after all of that the answer is still 37s if you don't want to cut anything. I don't think I'd go to the trouble of 39s, either stick with 37s or step up to 40s. There is no trouble with 39's though. I can use my existing wheel. I could use stock wheels. I chose the BFG because it's the bi...

After getting some death wobble over the past few weeks, I'm going to be doing some troubleshooting this weekend. Per previous post by Marcus... "Before buying parts, do the usual test. Re: Powerwagon's best model year 2005-2020?

Newer is better. I see all the time guys say their 2005-09 is the best because of some minor things, while the truck is burning to the ground behind them and they’re lying on the ground with a broken back because their grab handle ripped out while they were fixing the arcing door wiring harness tha...

Re: Welding Axle Tubes

My understanding is most of the PW tubes spin when the axle bottoms out against the bump stops. The order I went was truss, hydro, gears. I don't think you'll ever be sorry if you truss the front end.

Re: Overland 1.5 inch Spring w/King OEM 2.5 Shock

If I were starting over today the first mods I'd do would be the rear track bar and hydro assist. The front end on the '14+ trucks don't just up and wear out and they definitely last longer with hydro. I don't see the benefit of changing the tierod unless it is damaged.

They look good for a mall crawler or very light off roading but it looks like you'll be hitting the same rocks and ledges that the stock bumpers hit. This doesn’t look like a mall crawler to me. You're right, it looks like light offroading. [emoji38] Sorry but anyway you cut it those bumpers have n...

The question is: After trimming the obvious rub points in the fender wells (plastic/pinch weld) next weekend, will I still have excessive rubbing off roading? That's probably what burned up your transmission. During relearn the transmission clutches slip and line pressure is lower.
