I bought the control plug harness on Amazon. Look for the M15000 harness. It doesn't have the low voltage wire so I took off that whole harness. You do have to drop the winch to install, and the wiring is different from the way Dodge wires it, so if you struggle with wiring you may need to get help ...

I had the same issues. I fixed mine by replacing the harness from the plug into the control box with a Warn replacement plug for a M15000. I also bypassed the thermal switch and the low voltage interrupt. It was a pain, but cost less than 60 bucks to fix, and now no nannies.

When you fixed it. Pack de-electrical grease in the plug socket. It will keep the socket connections from rusting out. Make sure you get the back of the socket too. Battery is at least 2 years old. I bought the truck January 2016, it was in it. Should have enough juice for a no load wind up.

I did mine, just don't remember how. I think I just used a long extension for that end. It was harder at the axle end because of the torx bolts. You need a long torx on a socket drive to get enough leverage.

I put a DOR brace on my 07. No fitment issues, and a huge improvement in steering feel.
