Re: Airlifter 5000 Ultimate airbags w/ Daystar cradles '14+

I have a much better solution than using bags. Removable gas shock. Install when towing, pressurize, and drive. Remove when done towing, just release pressure then remove pins. Boom, bang done. All you need is a power tank with some nitrogen. Not too terrible. Way better ride and handling then stic...

Re: Hardwired lockers on 4-4.5 gen

The Jeep system by ORE is easier because they're just triggering the existing locker relays. On the the PW there are no external relays to trigger, everything is built into the Smartbar/final drive control module. I agree with Reloaderguy's method of hardwiring. I wonder how things are going on Pit ...

Wow! Makes me wonder how we ever survived back in the old days with a 60 amp alternator and a single battery. :o

:bump:
Looks like they added pictures for the truck in Grand Junction. Another beautiful Rambox edition in much better shape than the last one in Oregon, without the law enforcement backseat cage.
The price is already up to $17,600. I expect it will close over $20K.

Here's a 2012 in Grand Junction, CO, gently used by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service with 60K on the clock.
The only problem is there's no pictures. You had one job! :box:

Nice work!
And good job maintaining the panty hook. You'll need it once she sees the console.

Re: Rear locker wiring

Well I don't have a 14+, but my money is on the parking brake cable or brake flex hose as an attachment point. Both components paralleling each other down to the axle housing.
What do I win if I'm right?

Re: clicking sound..balljoints?

Is the clicking cyclical or random? Check for loose brake pad movement against the caliper mounting bracket. Also see if the clicking stops when you lightly apply the brakes. A slightly warped rotor can grab and release the pad with each revolution of the wheel.

Re: Idle Up Feature for winching

Found this PDF on RamTrucks.com. The last line on the PDF has direct application to this thread and is sad if true.

"The idle up function is not available and cannot be added to any other than the vehicles listed above. It is not available on Pickup trucks."

Re: Idle Up Feature for winching

This has been a Cummins feature for years, but not the Hemi. They advertised this as a feature on the Sterling Bullet with the Hemi and PTO package.
This company sells a high idle controller for 2007 to current hemi applications.

Re: Lockers in 4HI

There's also the option of hardwiring your lockers. Here's some diagrams and pictures I've saved for my own future reference. Here's a thread that discusses it with a link to another forum where I saved some of the pictures from. This is the connector you would need if you wanted to plug straight in...

Re: code p0171

The P0171 code means that on the drivers side bank of the engine (bank #1), the fuel system is running weak or a vacuum leak exists. A lean condition occurs when the engine either receives too little fuel or too much air. Since it's lean only on one bank and not both, I would suspect a vacuum leak r...

Fold Down Rear Seat Mod

I just did this mod on my 3rd gen. It's a little different than the procedure for the 4th gen listed above. There's how-to videos on Youtube with options depending if you want to cut the hook or install spacers. On the 3rd gen all you do is flip the brackets over. Here's a short 3rd gen video. I com...

Re: Not turning over

Just checked....I have 12V going to starter trigger. Which means it has to be the starter correct??? Yes. Probably a bad connection inside the starter and when you remove it to bench test it, things get shaken around and it tests good, but in the rig it fails. You might confirm the diagnosis by tap...
