So which is the locker power out from the smartbar?
Pin C is power going out to the front locker.
Pin D is power going out to the rear locker.

Re: Hardwired Lockers with OEM Knob

I already have a bypass. Maybe one of you guys that want to bypass your lockers can try jumping the pins i mentioned earlier and see what happens. I'm pretty sure that jumping those pins would result in a dead short and a blown fuse, unless I'm misunderstanding your meaning somehow. :secret: Isn't ...

Easy Ideas for Hot Food on the Trail

Okay, so I'm familiar with the foil wrapped burrito on the intake manifold as an option for a warm meal while out exploring, but I want to see if any of you have some ideas for enjoying a hot meal out on the trail. I've found a couple other ideas while searching around on the web like... 8649545899_...

Re: Hardwired Lockers with OEM Knob

Does the Smartbar circuit board contain the transfer case position and speed limiting logic? Based on the live data stream for the SmartBar, I would say yes. http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org/download/file.php?id=14527&mode=view http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org/download/file.php?id=14526&mode=...

Re: Hardwired Lockers with OEM Knob

I'll leave this here in case someone else in the future wants to hardwire their lockers from the SmartBar connector. Edit: These are the wires you would cut or splice into to apply power and ground to the lockers. And actually you might not even need to cut the ground wires, it would require further...

Re: Hardwired Lockers with OEM Knob

Here's what another member said about the sway bar disconnect on another thread, however he was talking about a 3rd gen. He says that it's a motor not a solenoid, which makes sense because when I operate my sway bar it sounds more like a motor spinning than a solenoid clicking. That wouldnt work, th...

Re: Hardwired Lockers with OEM Knob

I can see running the hardwire harness all the way to the rear axle if you were going to use an OEM connector, but if you’re going to cut the factory wires, might as well do it up at the firewall/engine bay where it would be better protected from the elements and save 10’+ of wire and loom frustrati...

Re: Rear locker working again......replaced!!

Can't remember if the magnets move closer together or farther apart when locker is engaged. It's been a hundred years since I had my cover off last. The sensor moves away from the target magnet when the locker is engaged, so if it's right on the edge of the magnetic field to start with and then thi...

Re: Rear locker working again......replaced!!

So I'm the recipient of Flattire's old locker actuator and I finally had some time to do some testing. I wanted to document my findings here in the hopes that someone else dealing with a flashing locker light in the future would have a baseline of information to deal with that might help lead to a m...

Next vehicle for your consideration: A 2010 with a lovely three tone paint scheme, high milage and missing parts, in Eldorado Hills, CA. :vomit:
This ended up selling for almost $15K. :jawdrop:
Maybe the brown stripes were just vinyl stickers.

This 2005 is in Brewerton, NY, so you east coast guys have a chance on this one. It says that the battery is dead and may need other repairs. With only 83285 miles, I bet if you put a battery in, it would drive away. If nothing else it could be a good parts truck for someone. Current bid $3510.00, ...

Re: Hardwired Lockers with OEM Knob

Don't forget about this option for a pushbutton, air operated sway bar disconnect. However it does require OBA, but seems much more convenient than laying under your truck, screwing a knob in & out. Like Colibri said: If you remove the smartbar module from the bar itself (3 bolts) and mount it out o...
