Re: Does the Sway Bar Disconnect ever work?

Standalone, electric sway bar disconnect with the flip of a switch. Currently testing the prototype on my truck. It will work on any SmartBar, PW or Jeep. Does not use the factory switch, OEM module will have to be secured to the frame, crossmember or engine compartment to retain locker function an...

Re: Does the Sway Bar Disconnect ever work?

Manual huh BLM? Is a interface module just to complex an ask given the programming and hardware requirements? I'm assuming it is, otherwise the jeep aftermarket would have addressed it. Standalone, electric sway bar disconnect with the flip of a switch. Currently testing the prototype on my truck. ...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but no one offers a bypass module to let the disco work on demand?
Nope.... but maybe retiredblmrig is being hush hush about attempting such a feat?! :excited:

Could always go the manual route or the air actuated route.

Re: Abel Components Nanny Kill Switch® - $75

I updated the pictures in the first post. I was able to get my hands on a complete fusebox so I could fine tune all the wire lengths to make it fit right where I want it. Also, the generic toggle switch is a little less generic, I'm now including an aircraft style toggle switch safety cover as well ...

Re: Brakes slow to release.

I would start with the master cylinder. Look for contaminated fluid, like if somebody accidentally put in the wrong kind of fluid. It will cause the rubber seals to swell resulting in slow release and eventually no release. If it is contaminated fluid, you're going to want to super-flush the system ...

Doing a voltage drop test on both the power and ground side should isolate the problem for you.

Re: 12v Palm Beach Buggy 351 Windsor Alternator and voltage regulator issues

Check all your grounds. A corrupt ground path can mask true system voltage resulting in a overcharge condition. A voltage drop test will isolate where the bad connection is.

Re: Fire Extinguisher

I like the concept of the Element, but after watching the videos, my only concern is how close you have to be to the fire for it to be effective (since there's no pressurized propellant). I guess as long as you catch it early and small, it wouldn't be too big of a deal. I'll probably pick one up to ...
