Re: 2006 GEN3 Smart Sway bar

The new sway bar will have to be programmed to the truck before it will work properly, so don't think it's defective if it doesn't work right out of the box.

Re: Traction control on 2011?

This new 2019 1500 is ridiculously nanny controlled. Can NOT power out of a mud hole, it'll kill the gas and abs kicks in, all kinds of crazy shit. Turn it all off and it must come back on at 15mph or something because as soon as you think something good is going to happen, nope. I think the fusebo...

Re: Traction control on 2011?

There's a couple other ways to see if your truck has any kind of traction control... When you turn your key on and the instrument cluster does the mandatory two second bulb test, look to see if either of the traction control telltale lights come on. The other option is to go to this URL: https://www...

Re: Acceleration lag?

Talk to the dealer and see if there's a reflash available. Maybe they mistakenly applied 4Lo throttle mapping to the 2019's.

Re: Backup Camera Relocation -- Harness

I have the 10 pin tailgate harness connector in stock. If you're just looking for a simple extension for that connector, let me know how long and I can make one up for you.

Re: Traction control on 2011?

According to the owners manual, it's #2 in the upper switch bank. However... also according to the owners manual, not all 2011 trucks came equipped with ESC.

Re: Instrument Cluster Lights

Tested and confirmed: If you want your instrument cluster to go dark on a 2013 - 2019 PW, remove fuses #49 & 88 together.

Be aware that doing this will set code #U0155 in multiple modules, but it does not cause the check engine light to come on.

Re: Grind/rub on Acceleration

I am getting some issues on my 2018 now as well, over the last week or so. At times even turning it feels like the LSD is sticking.( but most times not at all) But I also got a nasty clang, clang pulling away from a stop sign yesterday and a buzzing under the dash from the traction control. What di...

Re: FS: Abel Components Locker Bypass® - Calif. - $450

The locker bypass waiting list has officially come to an end. I'm finally caught up with all the requests. I have one on the shelf and I'll build a couple more so I can offer immediate delivery. All I can say is... the last six months have been extremely busy!

Re: Locker bypass kit

I am also looking into such a kit at the moment (or do myself) As I understood so far, the problem comes from the electronic module inside the Smart bar, that controlls all the lockers and the sway bar. Will this kit override this Smart bar control module if it fails for example? I want something 1...

It only needs to exceed the Shelby Raptor's 525 HP to claim the high ground.
The EcoBoost is at it's limit but the TRX has room to grow.

I tried adding some camouflage to my government issue A-pillar spotlights, attempting to make them look a little more off-roady. Not sure how I feel about it yet.

80/20 - The Adult Erector Set

I was just wondering if anyone here has ever built anything using products from 80/20 Inc.?

It looks like once you become familiar with their products the only limitation is your imagination.

Re: The Current Classic Project

Next up is a 1973 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. Nothing too major on this one, annual oil change (definitely not due by milage), an oil leak at the speedo cable, new tires due to age and dry rot and flush some vital fluids. This one has been nicely restored and maintained. IMG_1883.jpg IMG_1881.jpg...

Summer's coming, time to get the convertibles ready. 8-) First up is a 1975 Buick Le Sabre: This one needed brake and suspension work primarily, with some electrical repair on the side. Now it's ready to drop the top and cruise PCH with the 8 track pumping out the tunes. 8-) IMG_1875.jpg IMG_1876.jp...
