Re: Sway Bar problems

If it's still under warranty, call FCA customer service or find another dealer.

I had an 05 PW that had electrical gremlins and they must have changed out a few thousand dollars worth of parts trying to fix it. Never a peep out of them about off roading it. They even changed the smart bar too.

Re: Coolant Leak?

If the tube is on or near the firewall. That would be moisture dripping from the a/c evaporator. Nothing to worry about. The amount that comes out is determined by the humidity in the air. What you can do. Is put your finger in the puddle and see if it's just water or anti-freeze. Your coolant over...

Re: Replacing Rear Locker Actuator

I doubt if they fail because of the oil. IMHO, they fail due to bad design/cheap construction by AAM. But I doubt many of them fail under warranty so they choose not to do anything about it.

Re: Replacing Rear Locker Actuator

I had the one in my 07 replaced by the dealer and it was around $900 total, but that was some years ago. IIRC there is a bearing that has to be replaced also as I think it gets destroyed in the process. I don't really remember.

Re: SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME- front axle binding

Sounds like I will stick the the borgeson shaft. Well, I've got another question. After all the front end work I had done, my left axle seal was leaking so I took it back in and they replaced it. Now the left is good and the right is leaking. I have it scheduled to go back in and have that one fixe...

The back roads in SE Ohio are pretty tame compared to back woods WV. Mine is only squishy at speed on those roads. A different tire might help.

Re: Why are there so many newer PWs being traded in so early

I pretty much never see new or used ones on the lots where I am in Ohio. Or on the road for that matter. I think I saw one in WV on a Forest Service road this spring where I was trout fishing. I had to order mine. The dealers in my area stock and sell a ton of 1/2 ton Rams. The few 3/4 ton and up tr...

What about the steering stabalizer?

Possibly bent shaft on the stab. Had that happen once and it would stick when making a turn. Need to turn the wheels so it's fully extended to check.

Could be something giving up in the front diff, who knows.

Hill descent control only works in 4L and is all ABS. You don't get much engine braking on these trucks. Once you touch the brakes it forces the torque converter clutch to unlock.

I use a 20 lb CO2 power tank for air, but I have two trucks so it's a better option for me. I can just toss it in the bed of whatever truck I happen to be using at the time rather than have two systems.

Re: Anyone care to guess?

Give the man a cigar! Yes sir, the crappy rubber bushing has died on me for the last time. Installing this today. The linkage on my 16 kept popping out when it was new. Took it to a dealer in WV and they just shoved it back in without changing or fixing anything. Took it to my dealer when I...

That's the reason I don't have taller tires on my trucks and I can't afford a new garage. :thppt:

Both of my wagons are pretty much stock and they pretty much do all I need the way they are. The 16 needs a tire upgrade though. Not a fan of the Duratracs. :(

Re: Warranty Being Denied

Just wondering if anyone has a) dealt with moisture in the lights b) dealt with warranty issues at the dealer. Any help with either subject would be appreciated. Mine don't leak (yet). Not a big fan of them for that very reason though. From reading here it seems like the dealers in Canada are prick...

Re: Diesel Power Wagon... Again..

I won't shell out the extra $$ for a Cummins PW. This is coming from a guy that buys nothing but new Powerwagons (I'm on my third and have two right now). I don't tow, and most of all the new diesels are encumbered with so much pollution crap that the juice isn't worth the squeeze based on mileage a...

Re: 17 Power Wagon steer issue

I seem to hear a scrubbing even at lower speeds. You think it's coming from the rear and the anti slip rear ended?. The front end still baffles me. It just doesn't make much sense. Had to say from across the internet. Know anyone else local with a PW of the same gen that you can drive? The limited ...

Re: 17 Power Wagon steer issue

The tires will scrub a bit in full lock turns. You sure it's not a little ABS/traction control chirp and not PS noise? My 16 will do it when making some specific kind of slow, sharp, off camber turns. Even on asphalt. Kind of hard to explain, but there's a few places I turn into/out of in hilly WV w...

Re: "Ser4wd" and "RR" flashing.....

Seems like a lot of $$. I paid around $950 to have the rear changed in the 07, but that was some time ago. I doubt if the actuator itself is bad, but the sensor that is attached to it. Don't know why they designed it that way. :box: BTW, I had an 05 and they never could fix that issue. They worked o...

My 16, my 07 doesn't have all that garbage.

From what I gather, the module was sending out the wrong/bad voltage to a bunch of sensors it looks at.

It's been doing that on and off since it was new and it just didn't set any codes until recently.

Re: Need CAD unit wiring diagram.

Update. Had the truck in for the trans recall and had them look at this issue while it was there. They found the drive train control module was bad. Last time I had them look it didn't have any stored codes, this time it did. Should be fixed now.
