Re: Pro Cal Disaster 2018

Glad you got that fixed.

Those duracraps are the worst tire I've ever had the displeasure of having on any truck I've owned.

Threw them away and put Mickey Thompson ATZ P3's on and those have been great.

Re: Recall done

What issue do you have with hill descent control? Hill Descent Control does not work at all on the 2018s. Apparently, it is a know issue and is incorporated in the cruise control recall. [/quote] Then I guess the 2018 owners will have to use the backup method like I do - the brake pedal :poke: 2015...

Yeah, I've been pondering on those two as my truck finally runs the way it should. Not looking to go backwards.

Re: Fan stuck on?

I think my 16 6.4 has done it once that I can recall. Quit after a mile. But my 07 5.7 has done it in the mornings once in a while also. Always quits.

Re: Trans Issues - 2016

My 16 has 30K on it now and it runs they way it should,,,now. But that was after an EGR valve, the solenoid pack and having everything reflashed a couple of times. I'm finally happy with the way the trans shifts and no surging.

What are the rest of you clean freaks doing to keep your truck looking good? Especially around the decals!

Thanks all in advance for the help!

Re: Trans Issues - 2016

Thanks guys. No, I have not had the recall completed. I wonder if that is why I am having issues. I thought it was for solenoid connections? Not all of the 16 trucks got recalls and yes it was for the connectors. I doubt if that's your problem as it said it would cause the trans to go into limp mod...

Re: 2015 6.4 Hemi EGR Issues?

So I installed the new EGR on sunday. It is easy taking one hour to swap with me going over everything slowly and meticulously. The check engine light went out after two full ignition cycles without having to reset anything. observations: -with check engine light off eco mode now illuminates on the...

What pressure did you run in the Duratracs when they would "carcass roll" on the highway?
65-68. Really didn't matter. Felt like you were driving an unresponsive boat. Night and day difference.

Re: Finally got new tires for the 16.

I had the older Mickey Thompson ATZ's on my 07 the large tread blocks usually develop uneven wear pattern my personally like the Toyo RT's a lot better, 35's will fit your truck and would be a great choice. http://www.musingsonthecamino.com/images/300/132334395356_1.jpg Too late now :P These are th...

Finally got new tires for the 16.

I had an old thread here last year about tires after a stick went through the sidewall of the OEM Duratrac. I got busy and never got around to buying new ones until now since they still had plenty of life left. Anyway, I ended up with Mickey Thompson ATZ P3's. Can't even describe how much better the...

Re: Shocks???

Well, on top of replacing my tires in August, I will also be replacing the shocks. I am at 41,000 miles on the stock tires and shocks and noticed today that all four of them have the oily residue running down them and the tires are almost bald. I have the tires narrowed down between Pirrelli Scorpi...

Re: 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon spied

Meh, I'll wait to see it unwrapped. But I was hoping they'd give it some better front end off-road visibility. The big, square front end doesn't let you see anything nearby. The 3G trucks are much better in that respect.

Re: Trans to hot message

Can you take pics of the light being on and show them? I had a 4WD shift in progress message then kept popping up randomly on my EVIC while I was driving in 2WD. kept taking it back and got the same "couldn't duplicate" stuff as you. Took a bunch of pics, sometimes at 70 mph :P Went to service manag...

Re: 2015 6.4 Hemi EGR Issues?

I have little doubt that the EGR is my problem. Trying to explain these things to folks who believe damaged camshafts "sound normal" is not an easy task. The fact that it isn't under warranty is even more frustrating. I will likely end up replacing this myself depending on what all needs to be remo...

Re: 2015 6.4 Hemi EGR Issues?

My 16 had a low RPM surge just off idle going uphill. Held too high of a gear. I complained about it and they did nothing until the campaign came out on the EGR valve.

Guess what went away when they put in a new one?

Using the winch in the winter.

Sucks. Hook was frozen to the tow hook, cap for the winch cable had about 2" of ice cementing it on, same for the spool lever.

Once past all that it was fine.
