I am also wanting but not finding a rear bumper that suits me. I wish diesel power products would tell me where they got this one
Most of their project truck bumpers have been one-offs built in house.

Re: 2018 Power Wagon Brake Issues

Honestly this should be a warning. I was backing up on an obstacle in Moab in 4LO in reverse down a hill and the truck... would... not... stop... i had to throw it in neutral to stop it. Maybe we should mention this in PWiM next time because it caught me off guard... Sent from my SM-G955U using Tap...

Nope not here, my first set of 37” Toyo RTs have been passed down to the 85 4Runner.

Re: Patriot Campers Off Road (PTOR) RT25 SUPERam

WhiteKnuckle sliders are your best and only bet. What's wrong with the factory running boards? They aren't rated for that kind of thing? I was actually looking at the Amp Research Powerstep. It looks like it would give me better clearance but I'm concerned that it would take too much damage in the ...

Re: Patriot Campers Off Road (PTOR) RT25 SUPERam

I would not run 37’s every day in San Fran I have been unwilling to try to take my stock PW into the parking garages at work - they claim a 7' max height. It should fit, with about 3" to spare, but it's really expensive to find out where it doesn't. On 37's you are going to hit something in a norma...

Re: Patriot Campers Off Road (PTOR) RT25 SUPERam

Wow lots of great input here from lots of people. I'll try to address each of you. My biggest regret was 35s. 37s are in every way better except for what to do with the spare tire... even MPG. I get better MPG on 37s on open highway than I did on 35s. I do get worse in town and in low speed take of...

Re: Patriot Campers Off Road (PTOR) RT25 SUPERam

It feels like MPG numbers on the internet are as believable as Reality TV. I’ve seen diesel numbers anywhere from 12-22. Driving style makes a huge difference. If you are a newbie, why go full bore, get an overpriced rig, which takes you further before you get stuck worse? The stock PW is amazingly ...

Re: Patriot Campers Off Road (PTOR) RT25 SUPERam

This truck is for sale in AUSTRALIA, mates. They have some wacky rules about what they are and aren't allowed to do to vehicles down there. New Ram 2500's are priced about $150k AUD (just took a quick look online, don't know how flexible prices are down there). So this truck has about $65k AUD in m...

The pedal should never get to the floor (by design) unless you have a problem! You said no air... but consider bleeding them Again. I’m not 100% on these. But plenty of ABS systems have a reaction to how quickly the pedal is pressed. If pressed quickly, pedal will drop and the ABS Pump/So...

Maybe we should get them to add a Power Wagon class. Course looks simple enough.
Stock Mod during the EMC. Safety stuff (cage, etc) and 35" DOT Tires. Go for it.

I really like my Pro Eagle big wheel 2-ton. Hasn't struggled with lifting the PW. Extendable Foot is really really useful. Rolls over Everything I need it to, air hoses, 220V cords, rocks, paver steps to the back porch, door sill Stays stable when lifted so far. It is a little slow at jacking, but u...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon issues

Unfortunately, it's industry wide and the flat-rate system doesn't help either. Techs are motivated to move on quickly in order to get to the next paying job before they start losing money. Every manufacturer has lemons and idiosyncrasies. If it hasn't been seen much, the manufacturer can't just hav...

I had a similar fleeting thought recently about actually going the other way to a quadcab diesel (just me and the GF and a medium dog), but that wasn't ever offered with the recent radius arms.

Test drove a 17 and a 06 diesel last week. I'll keep the PW.

Since you mentioned heat. I had a car I dealt with random engine performance issues while I was at Nissan Tech Line. Finally narrowed it down to 1 connector terminal would expand in the heat and lose a secure connection.

But sounds a lot like a module overheating as well.

AEV Pro Cal also does all that without the dealer visit. It's only the Tire Pressure that requires a BCM reset at the dealer.

:notworthy: Exactly what I'm hoping for! I went with the AEV wheel because they state it will allow fitment of 37s, and they didn't mention cutting being required. Also glad I went with the 12.5 width over the 13.5. The tires are sitting at Discount Tire waiting for me, and the wheels should arrive...

Re: 37x12.5 on AEV Saltas – metal trimming or liner only (2018)?

I think I did about 6" of pinch weld. 37x12.5 Toyo RTs on XD wheels with +18 offset.

Cut a slit and hammer it over flat. Technically it was clearing after cutting the plastic, but it was really really close to the pinch weld, could possibly make contact with bushing flex in the radius arms.

My initial hunch is it seems busy and really spread out given the fairly slow traffic that has been the norm as long as I've been around.

I do like splitting up the generations to some extent.
