325/60/20 Dura-Trac

I know I've asked about 35's, specifically 315/70/70. Being the Dura-Trac 315/70/17 come in at 34.6ish we are looking at 325/60/20 Dura-Trac because they are at 35.4. Has anyone tried to run these 325/60/20's? There are plains to move to 37's when the warranty is up a couple years from now, and look...

Re: 2015 leveling kit for 35"s

Looking at 35's, is anyone clearing 325/60/20's? Seems this is the tallest Dura-Trac you can get and would be awesome if they would fit at stock lift!

2015 leveling kit for 35"s

So my father-in-law just got out of his 2007 PW and into a 2015. I was able to fit 35s (well 315/70/17s) on his 07 with a little trimming and hammering the pinch seams in a little on the front. The 2015 is a much nicer PW and I really don't want to do that to it. Has anyone had luck with a 1.5" or 2...

Re: 07 PW transmission

Update: truck is out of the shop, it was a bypass valve inside the transmission that was creating the issue, truck drives much better now that it has first gear! Rear pinion seal was replaced do to it leaking. Now the issue that still exists is the front axle, there is a fluid wet spot surrounding t...

Re: Rear diff piled up. Dang it.

The 4.56:1 being weak refers to small axles, Dana 30 size axles or smaller. That size axle, a 4.56:1 gearing is the highest (numerically) you can go and makes the pinion gear vary small creating a weak point. With larger axles, ring and pinion are much larger which is one reason 1 ton axle swaps are...

Re: 07 PW transmission

Update: it finally through a code for low line pressure. It's Being warranted right now, they say the solenoid pack failed. They are also saying that the lockers coming unlocked and locked again is because of the transmission issue. I don't fully believe that because it was happening under 15 MPH. W...

Re: 07 PW transmission

Thanks! Spoke with a tech at the local dealership, he thinks it's possible that pump seal on the filter may not have been installed correctly. And it makes sense as these seals must be installed prior to putting on the filter instead of with the filter. He thinks the pressure to hold it in first gea...

Re: 07 PW transmission

Ill try and get a video of it in a day or two. I have a 45RFE in my 01 grand Cherokee, similar but programmed different. Just seems weird they would want drive line shock like this if pulling a 9k trailer, that's why I'm asking. Could you explain the 2 gear kickdown feeling? Thanks for the fast repl...

07 PW transmission

Hi guys Picked up a 2007 PW with 86K one owner. Great truck, but when flooring it from a stop it will start to accelerate then slam down into what seems to be first the hit red line and up shift. Is it normal for this truck to always start in second gear or act like this? The have us a bumper to bum...
