Yes, but that’s the angry inch. He needs a truss before he pushes that truck any harder

Re: Tail of the Dragon

I have a place about an hour from the twisted sisters route, it’s a badass run and very little in the way of traffic or law enforcement. That’s one you should do if you get a chance

3m makes a clear adhesive backed product that will keep the shock bodies from corroding if you wrap them in it

Re: More Road-Feel After Driveshaft Rebuild?

I understand post work hypersensitivity for sure, I think that’s a pretty normal thing after a mod of some sort. I know those yokes are a bear, my rear replacement shaft ran almost 800 and it seemed like half the cost was in the yokes. Good luck getting it figured out sir!

Re: More Road-Feel After Driveshaft Rebuild?

If a shop would reuse a deformed yoke, then I would be suspect of anything they touched period. That’s just asking for trouble. That being said, if I leave my hubs locked and get on the highway I can absolutely feel a noticeable difference in the front end of the truck. My front driveshaft is pretty...

Re: Front and rear diff guards

Do you guys with the rear track bars have enough space to run a fabricated rear cover like a ruff stuff or ballistic fab? That would be great out back if so. I use a ballistic rear and it’s hell for stout and holds about 8 quarts

Re: Front and rear diff guards

That’s certainly a good point, I’ve never had a problem with that, but it’s usually too dry where I am to have much mud. Rocks stumps and road debris are more my concern. Those half spiders do look like they offer decent protection from larger objects though.

Carli diff skid is by far the toughest and best coverage you can get up front.

Re: Diesel PW Build Thread

Truck looks great! Awesome pictures sir. Just want to say, I have both Dynatrac and Spyntec free spin kits and while both are absolutely top quality, the Spyntec is better engineered for sealing out the elements. That seems important for your location, so you might want to give them a look.

Re: springs question

figured I would update this. my ocd wouldn't let me forget the driver side was leaning, so I kept trying to figure out what the hell was causing it. 1/2" just seemed excessive. my last '16 truck was within a 1/8" or less, side to side. so why should this '17 be any different is what I wanted to kno...

Re: springs question

I just did my truck in the driveway a few weeks ago and then had it verified on an alignment rack. My calibrated eyeball netted me 4.8 and 5.1 caster and 0.04 total toe. We’re essentially aligning a covered wagon or buckboard lol. It’s hard to screw up if you don’t over complicate things
