THUREN LT LEAVES!!! Are here. Going to be installing them today or tomorrow.
Durabak works well in bedliner but as rocker guard I really don't know. Not even my exhaust Tip survives the rock rash

Re: Tires Fitment

Beat flat and paint worked for me. I did a couple relief cuts on the pinch weld so it folded over perfectly flat and rounded the end of the pinch weld that was still standing with a grinder.

Re: Front Locker Tear Down

Good work sir! Could you tell where the metal chips came from that were interfering with the locker? My front carrier case had started to crack from repeated shock loading I guess, and I found some little bits like that.

Re: Front axle breather location

Do breathers and a loop if at all possible. I’ve had axles and drivetrain parts push fluid up non looped breather hoses and cause spills. Potential fire hazard that’s easily avoided

On the 3rd gens at least, it’s on top of the trans where the bellhousing meets the case.

Re: 35" tire for those of us that tow?

The rt’s on my lifted one ton van see a shit load of highway + towing and dirt. It’s a great tire all around, does well on road and very stable when loaded heavy or towing. Wet pavement traction is great, I can’t comment on snow or ice. Offroad they are remarkable in hardpack, gravel, and dirt/sand a...

Re: DYNALOC™ HUBS

The dynaloc hubs are pretty damn nice, I have a set. They only work on the original long hub free spin kits though, the new shorty free spins don’t have enough internal room to use them. Believe it or not the Yukon hubs are a great alternative that use a simpler mechanism and are hell for stout

If the 1500 ram boxes don’t have this problem, can you get a pair of lids from one of them and swap them over?

I wouldn’t do the whole body, it can hold moisture in and cause massive rusting. I’ve seen it before, absolutely destroyed a Jeep tub

It’s hard to beat air actuators for the smartbar. Evo mfg has a nice one for about $200.

Re: Aev snorkel and S&B Intake

It’s a gas engine. Air restriction does not really seem to be an issue. You’re already taking a huge hit putting that snorkel on and I really like the WIX stock filters. I’m kicking around the idea of plumbing a Donaldson PowerCore filter that’s old surplus from an MRAP, they’re about $100 on eBay ...

Re: 40-Inch Tire Discussion (Or anything bigger than 37's)

With the 1.5 gear reduction of portals, would a 4.10 even need to be re geared ? I doubt it! I seriously looked at the axletech portals for my Jeep, but it would have put it too damn tall. Went with protock 60’s without portals. I’d love to get a RCLB radius arm truck and do them with no suspension...

I guess I won't openly discuss removing the bed for a custom flatbed with the nerd patrol.
No, please do! Offroad flatbeds are one of the coolest things ever. I’ve been considering it for mine for a couple years now.
