Re: Winching and Recovery 101

Piece together, that way you can get exactly what you need. I went Masterpull winchline, bubbarope snatch straps, van beest shackles, and factor 55 flat link. Masterpull again for snatch blocks and a pull pal winch anchor with maxtrax boards. Cherrypick from the companies that do their thing best in...

Re: Thuren vs. Carli

They have different tuning philosophies, but both have products that are well suited to our application. With Carli you get what you get. You order 2.5’s from them and you get their 2.5 hemi valving. With Thuren you get valving specific to your truck/driving style etc. Carli valving generally runs a...

Re: Torn between Method and KMC

Either should be fine for street and moderate off-road, if you want to get high speed and abusive then save your money and buy a better wheel to begin with. And there are different grades of “cast” wheels, they’re not all made equal, for instance trailready hd 17’s are pressure cast and extremely st...

Re: Airlifter 5000 Ultimate airbags w/ Daystar cradles '14+

The factory bump stop is hard and harsh, but under the right circumstances it will compress much farther than you’d think. If you get air at speed on stock suspension it’ll get almost metal to metal with the bumpstop cup and strike pad

Re: Coil bucket/shock mounts mod

Carli has a cantilever system for the rear that uses 3.0’s, could possibly go even bigger. It’s likely pretty spendy though

Re: Thuren King 2.0 IFP shocks for sale

Don’t mix and match shocks and springs from Carli and Thuren. They have very different valving profiles and spring rates. Totally different tuning philosophy between the two companies. Thuren springs are wound to give you a specific ride height and he lets the shocks do the rest. Carli springs give ...

Re: Carli Radius Arms

The Carli arms are beefy but don’t have provision for the power wagon articulink. You will have more roll resistance and less flex than stock. Wouldn’t recommend it. I’ve been thinking about buying a new dually tow pig, and would consider them for that, only because I wouldn’t lift it and so would p...

Maybe consider doing a compression test. If that comes up normal I'd be inclined to suggest trying a catch can on your pcv system.

Re: Steering Braces

Dor is not the only game in town for smartbar compatible steering gear braces. DT profab makes a double sided brace that is notched to fit around the swaybar actuator. I used one for several years until I went with a torsion bar, it's a quality piece that makes a noticeable difference in steering fe...

NO do not mix and match shocks like that.
