Re: Can using the ProCal prevent Uconnect update?
Which also makes me wonder if I end up taking it to the dealer, should I "undo" the procal and return the speedo setting back to factory while they are working on it.

Re: Can using the ProCal prevent Uconnect update?
Ok I just wanted to check. Didn't know if the procal changed some value that didn't match when the uconnect was verifying it's update or something.

Can using the ProCal prevent Uconnect update?
I've never had any problem with my Uconnect updating on my 2015 until I adjusted my speedo with the ProCal. Now I keep getting the update request and I tell it OK, but then I eventually get the message that it failed and to go visit the dealer.

Re: 2017 software update radio doesn’t turn off
Mine 2015 started doing that also. I sat in it after opening the door and it finally shut off in 1-2min. I was also going through the OTA unconnect "update failed" at the time. I finally downloaded it to a USB stick and updated that way. It hasn't done it since.

Re: Tire Feedback
Went with these because their actual width measures 12.5 inches (open country m/t and trail grapps come in around 13.2 in this size). This is exactly why I went with the Nitto Trail Grappler m/t's because they had the widest tread of the 35x12.5's. Love them by the way. I only ever put M/T's on my ...

We made the dealer take most of them off and the red grill before we would buy it.

I run 40psi all the way around on my 35x12.5x18 unless I'm towing then I put in 60psi, especially in the TX summer heat.

Re: Towing differences from 3rd gen to 4th
I switched from a 2007 to 2015 mid vacation pulling my 34ft travel trailer and the difference was drastic. I ended up pulling it back home in the rain, and the traction control was relaxing. I went from a 1st gen 5.7 w/ 345hp to the 410hp 6.4L so my increase in power was drastic, not to mention the ...

Re: Hughesnet
My parents in remote AZ are getting rid of theirs in two days after a year of it not working properly. They never could get anything to stay connected and Hughes refused to ever send a technician out because the closest one was over 200 miles away. They initially wanted to charge them $900 for break...

Re: LED Light pods in the fog lights? Thoughts, Opinions?
I just put 35watt HID bulbs in the OEM fog light housing. They are bright enough to where the headlights don't even look like they are on. The beams are about 180deg from the front of the truck so the ditches and everything to the sides are also lit up. I've had them for a while and tried to make th...

Re: Tire Feedback
You 6.4 guys- I'm assuming you lost about 1.5 - 2 mpg when you jumped up to 35" MT's? If basing the MPG on the truck's computer estimate, isn't this mostly from the fact that the speedo/odo are off (less) by about 10%? The truck "thinks" it's going less distance but using the same amount of fuel. M...

Re: K&N CAI for Ram 2500 with 6.4L
The CAI on my Superbee sounded wonderful and almost like a proper 4bbl carb. when getting on it, with my wife agreeing. It was undetectable while just cruising around at highway speeds like my CAI on the Power Wagon. Our problem was we tow a 8000# travel trailer often and it puts it right at that RP...

I thought it fetl quicker when entering the interstate. I'm not a gas mileage watcher and it wasn't on for long, so not sure about any mpg increase.

K&N CAI for Ram 2500 with 6.4L
I had it on for only a few hundred miles and the wife decided the intake noise was too loud. I affixed Dynamat on the inside of the box to try to quiet some but it wasn't enough so I returned the truck back to stock. The Dynamat can be peeled off if not wanted; paid $305. $260 shipped ( I still have...

My floor shifter moves quite a bit under acceleration, and so did my '07's; I would say its normal.

Re: Performance for the 6.4
Before I took it off I wanted to test some sound deadening ideas. The thin metal K&N air box seems to act as a resonator or speaker box because I tucked pieces of moving blanket all around it and went for a test drive. The sound was almost back to stock. I also threw a piece over the open top of the...

Re: Performance for the 6.4
I looked at the chart before I bought it to make sure the losses were minimal. The most TQ increase shows to be between 2700 - 3700 which I consider usable range in a gas truck.

Re: Performance for the 6.4
I just put on the K&N CAI today and will probably be taking it off. It definitely feels snappier, but the induction noise is too intrusive with the air box just under the passenger windshield wiper. It bothered me some but I was going to ignore it, but my wife got in and said no-way. We pull a trail...

Re: 35's fit on stock 2014 and later Power Wagon?
I run 35x12.5 x 18 Nitto M/T's on stock suspension and they have never rubbed. I actually picked the Nitto's because they run wider than most 12.5" tires.

Re: Tow rating
My '15 Power Wagon handles our 34ft ~8500lb travel trailer much much better than my '07 PW did. Made me question the lower ratings.
