Re: Update

Drag it out of the bottom. I really wish they would of gave me camera controls. Ours finally updated and it seems mostly trivial and useless. Probably mostly bluetooth support. Maybe there’s a technique to it that I’m not doing quite right. Long presses on my icons just send you to that page. Pulli...

Re: Update

Another question on the update. Now that you can drag and drop icons to the bottom of your screen and change the locations of most of them, not the center one unfortunately. Has anyone figured out how to move something out of the bottom of the screen? I can get stuff to replace what’s there and you ...

Re: Update

Thanks. Went ahead and updated mine. Seems to be working fine. Although now it’s even more insistent on starting Apple Music when you start the truck. Even if you were listening to a podcast or Amazon Music. Before it would restart whatever was last playing.

No, I don't have uconnect on either truck. :P
Lucky you. It’s a terrible idea to connect everything in a vehicle to on location.

Update

Anyone done the update FCA sent out recently? My 13 Wagon keeps pestering me to perform the update. I’m hesitant after seeing the story of people’s system freezing up and continually restarting. Anyone here have any issue after they updated their system?

We don’t care what system they are using. Some dealers can, some can’t. Find a dealer that sells lifted trucks and they’ll have a solution.
Did he just do the TPMS change? I'm renting two devices to do the TPMS, tire size, and fog lights during low beams from a guy with a website that rents them out on the cummins forums. I want all three done but it takes two devices if the dealer won't work with u.
Yes. That’s all he...

Re: Changeable Settings at Dealer

OP has a 14+ truck, that is what we're discussing. Correct. 12 and older use a different system. 13 and up are programmed the same. Talked to a diesel guy online when I was working on getting a Procal. Told him what my dealer did for me after I took it in initially, he was able to get his redone at...

Re: Changeable Settings at Dealer

Even with the AEV Procal you have to go to the dealer to finish the TPMS settings. Otherwise you’ll still get a light. Just skip setting them with the Procal and have your dealer set them exactly where you want them. Pressure options are limited in the Procal, the dealer can put in any number you w...

Re: Another Death Wobble post

On some of our fleet trucks at work we ran into DW issues. Even when they were fairly new. Tires play anroll also. The only way we fixed two trucks was to change to a stiffer tire. Once we did that, no more issues. All the normal parts were replaced first, trackbar, tie rods and ball joints.

Re: Performance out of the 10-13 5.7 hemi?

I have heard the 6.4 cam was a good swap for the 5.7. Guess a lot of the car guys were doing this in their Chargers. Haven't tried it and after the nightmare tuning debacle of trying to put a supercharger on our JK, I never will.

Re: Toyo MT 315/70r17

I looked at the Ridge Grapplers. Good reviews that I found. Nice looking tire and good load capacity. They were the heaviest of the tires I was looking at, but I was looking at 315/35 sizes. That's what help make my decision.

Re: Toyo MT 315/70r17

I just put the Toyo RT in 35x12.5 on my truck. So far I haven't noticed too much difference. The spare fit, it's tight, but it fit. Not enough miles to really give you a full review. Instant mileage on the way to work today was reading the same, which is encouraging. I'm sure it's gonna bring it dow...

Re: First PW adventure

We just got back from Colorado. We were out there in the wife's Jeep this time. We pull a SoCal Teardrop behind us. It's great behind the Jeep. And it'll go through some difficult terrain. We started with a trailer I built to haul a RTT. Ended up selling it to a buddy with a FJ. Him and his family d...

Re: Almost time for tires

I decided to go for it. I put some Toyo RT 35x12.5R17 on the stock wheels. I had picked up an extra PW wheel for the spare. Now if I rotate the spare in with the rest of the tires. The spare fit the stock location, just requires a little finesse to get it into place. I'll try to get a better picture...

Re: Bypass shock tuning

I don't have Bypassee on the PW but I have them on my wife's Rubicon. We use it for fairly slow speed exploring. We've both been beat up enough in work trucks we generally don't enjoy high speed banging around. Ours are backed out pretty far until it got a wallowing fee and bottomed easily, l then t...

Re: Almost time for tires

Thanks guys. I'll look for the wiring harness when I put the spare up. I knew I'd read some threads on 35s on the 4th gen but couldn't find them. All the current threads are the 4.5 trucks, which are a little different. I have an AEV ProCal showing up in a few days. That should fix the shift points ...

Almost time for tires

Several questions. I'm shopping for tires for my 2013 PW. Deciding between Toyo RT in 35 12.5r17 or a Cooper 285/75r17, both would be on stock wheels. For the guys with the 5.7s, how bad is the hit on mileage and power going to 35s? Any trouble fitting the spare? Most of the threads lately are in re...

Glad this topic came up also. I've been looking at moving over to a ham setup for out off road trips also. I've been studying for the test in and off, I just need to commit and finish. I'm looking at a few radios and wanted some options. I'd like multiple bands since I want to get one radio and not ...

What input fuel pressure can the heater handle? Your pump is in the tank, so the fuel is under significant pressure.

Re: Kill-switch for electronic nannies

Try avoiding a wash across the whole road. Not everything can be steered around. Sometimes getting on the brakes hard is the only option.
