Re: Back on the wagon

Received my bypass kit today! Looks like a factory harness and is very well made. May have it on this weekend if nothing comes up, so I'll update in here to let everyone know how easy the install goes. Received mine as well. You might want to check the contents of the relay box before you get ready...

Re: Wheel Talk

For what it is worth, I have been running the AEV Katlas for 6 months on 37" tires. They balanced perfectly and have had no issues with them at all. If the stock wheels had been 1/2" wider though, I would have stuck with them.

Re: Winching and Recovery 101

Hard to say. Would depend on how far down you would have to go through loose sand. In that situation, the blade type anchor might have an advantage.

Re: Should I buy a new power wagon?

If you are going to put up that much money into a new truck, why not take the time to go ahead and order it the way you want? Is there something wrong with the current truck? My personal opinion is to wait to buy one until you actually need one. At that point, trading the old truck won't hurt your f...

Re: Winching and Recovery 101

I'm curious about the Brit/NATO anchor but at the same time I'm getting older and don't want to be hammering a bunch of shit in the ground in 100* heat to get unstuck then pulling it all back up. I have a 11k pull pal for my wrangler and while its heavy and a bit awkward it's still pretty easy to u...

Re: Winching and Recovery 101

Question for you all and this may have been answered somewhere else, I have a 2015 PW and I have looked all over the winch but cannot see if there is a spool release lever to free spool the line out. Can any of you tell me that I'm not crazy and I just am not looking in the right spot or is there r...

Re: Winching and Recovery 101

I got the Nato Ground Anchor Kit from UPS on Friday. Shipping took less 5 days from the UK. It is every bit of 85 lbs. Very impressed with it. Other than needing a little paint, as expected, it is very solid. I plan to clean it up and throw some rustoleum on it later this week and will then post a f...

I'll give a review on it once I get a chance to try it out. Good deal. Seems like shipping was not too bad. Any idea what the total weight is? I got t...

Re: Winching and Recovery 101

No idea on the weight. Shipping was a flat rate. If you decide to order, I recommend emailing them first, as they gave me a coupon code that dropped a UK tax (20%) from the items in the cart. The person I talked with was Keely Boyes. contact email is keely@denbigharmysurplus.co.uk

Re: Tire Feedback

Here is an update on the 37x1350x17 Cooper Discoverer STT Pro tires. The tires just turned 3k miles, mostly city. For as aggresive a tread as they have, they are not really loud. There is some road noise, but I would compare it to a set of worn Duratracs. Manners on the road have been great. There h...

Re: Brakes Lacking Power?

I had noticed the same thing on my 2015 right after I bought it. The brakes seemed soft and slow to actually stop. When braking hard, I have never had the ABS activate. Not once. I initally wrote it off as having to adjust my driving habits to the vehicle. The funny thing is, I also thought the acce...

A 1.5 month wait on a current year vehicle? I'd call Mopar directly and start yanking some chains. That isn't even reasonable.

Re: Future Pit Slave Locker Bypass Kits

Hahaha! WTF?! I made the list as a joke...hahaha! Are we jumping the gun here...??? Hopefully not, but there is a lot of assumption riding on what Pit Slave said he wanted to do. If it falls through, no worries. This way he will at least have an idea of whether it would be worth his tim...

Re: looking for a bypass kit

For those of you who were waiting on a bypass kit before CajunPW went AWOL, it appears Pit Slave is about to open his own project to make them. It might be helpful to him to judge the interest from our group. I have started a thread in his vendor section if you are interested. http://forum.powerwago...

Re: looking for a locker bypass kit

I started a thread in his vendor section. I might be presumptive, but it sounds like he is ready to at least gather information on how many people are wanting one. I suggest posting there since it will be easier to track long term. I copied the list of the other three people that said they wanted on...

Re: looking for a locker bypass kit

I worked on helping him out when he asked some questions. I didn't do these bypasses due to not having a shop to work in. That has changed recently and will be able to start where I had left off once I'm done moving into the new facility. However, I won't say to not give it a try if you want to go ...
