I’ll second the super siphon recommendation! It’s super convenient Link for the super siphon? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk Also known as a shaker siphon. I pulled the valve out of mine and put it in a more flexible rubber hose, got tired of the clear vinyl hose having too much memory in the...

Re: Spare Fuel

Yeah, I need a portable solution so I can fill generators/side by side. Etc. I just like to carry a few gallons of 91 octane so I am always prepared. For this, the rotopax idea is a good one if you can stomach the expense and you’ll use them a lot. For occasional use, a cheap gas can with a non-Cal...

Re: Max tire size for chains

I think I'll be keeping my stock tires. The most any shop will give me on trade for my stock tires (with 3,500 miles on them) is $400, and nobody wants to buy things on Craigslist where I'm from. Hopefully I'll have no issues with the duratracs... If there are any Jeeper Facebook groups in your are...

Order black powder coat, the cheesy arachnid or skeleton parts motif will be harder to see.

Nothing else out there except for beefier diff covers and Gale Banks is tearing that market a new one right now.

Re: Locker Bypass

If/when my smartbar dies, I’ll do the EVO manual disconnect. I don’t want swaybar control all the time bad enough to give up working on-the fly control with the limits imposed by Ram. The air power disconnect is on my radar, but I wouldn’t put in an onboard air system just to run a swaybar. Sent fro...

Reach under the bumper? The swaybar isn’t hard to get to.

With proper tire pressure, my third shock doesn’t do anything anyway.

Re: Thuren Test Drive

I just dropped my pressures to 48 front and 43 rear for DD. With all of the suspension work people are doing with the 4g trucks what are you doing with the 5th shock? I was thinking about what I want to do in the near future but I haven't found a post yet that deals with the shock associated with t...

35x12.50r17 Toyos with chains will rub on the radius arm and sway bar, but not too bad. Just don't turn full lock.

You have 1600 pounds of extra weight? Took some used motor oil for recycling at the landfill last week. My just-cruising-around weight over the scales was 8600 lbs (with my normal amount of crap in the truck) A newer Laramie with sliders and a bunch of crap in it isn’t exactly light. Sent from my i...

Fed up!!! (More dura trash)

Re mileage.... A larger, heavier tire takes more energy to start rotating. That makes mileage go down. A larger tire travels farther per revolution. A truck on larger tires goes down the road with fewer engine RPM given the same speed and drive ratio. That makes mileage go up. If you do more city dr...

7". The relay I have handy has a waterproof end and doesn't fit. I'd rather mount it to the side of the fuse box since my box is notched anyway. Interrupting a 12 ga. 40 amp circuit requires using 40 amp rated components. Unfortunately no one makes a waterproof SPDT 40 amp normally closed relay tha...

If you mean the little yellow one, that would be power in for the relay.

Because you still want that circuit fused when hooligan mode is off.

I’ve just been popping the hood and raiding the fuse box, but that looks really clean. Nice work!

Re: Kicker shock annoyance

Put a ratchet strap around the shock so you can compress it to a convenient length. You can also raise/lower the axle to change how things line up.
