My 2016 seemed fine, but after 30k miles I got the death wobble and now my truck pulls right. Just hit 50k and put new tires on. Seems to pull less, but still not perfect.

Re: 6.4L Break In
I was told on my 2015 to do something like first 50 miles can't go over 55, and the next 50 can't go over 65 or something? I'd ha e to check but I fear I don't have that sheet anymore. After that it was all good. My truck makes a ton of sounds that all kinds of people analyze as anything. Big truck,...

Re: 10mm Doubles
The other option is to buy any 1911/2011 you want in 40sw and then have the barrel reamed to 10mm Auto. The only difference is the chamber and recoil spring. I wouldn't recommend this route if you are going to shoot hot loaded 10mm. That would be a recipe for disaster. I have seen several sti's com...

Re: 10mm Doubles
Stay away from colt, Kimber, and Remington if you want my opinion. If I were to go for a 10mm 1911 I would look at rock island first for value. But I would probably recommend something a little higher end like nighthawk. It'll be spendy, but when you move away from the traditional 1911 in .45 a lot ...

Re: Cheap Super Duty
Quick update on the truck. Put 3 months insurance on it and I've been daily driving it for about a week. Runs surprisingly well. So far I have: 1 removed the company lettering 2 power washed the whole thing 3 cleaned the headlights and replaced the bulbs 4 I blew a fuse playing with the over drive b...

So Curiosity got the best of me and I had a magnaflow put on. Went with an 18" oval body that the shop had instead of the 14" he suggested first. I had them leave the resonator in place for now to see how I liked the sound, I'll try removing the resonator later to see if there's much of a differenc...

Re: Cheap Super Duty
Thad a pretty serious snow plow mount! It most definitely is. Didn't help any going through the muddy field. Should stand up to a bit more abuse though. This thing is in a bit better shape than I was even expecting. 120k miles all the lights and everything work fine. It's not really worth licensing...

I think ham is by far most popular. CB close second? This is mostly just me hearing people talk with no real info. I want to go ham, but just haven't done all that yet. I do have a cheap cb I'm going to put in one day though.

Turns out these fords don't make it very far in the mud. Sure was fun to play with though haha https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170522/e8259b9af064794f88e0851d42e9e641.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170522/73f7e372453bcb23680a77fd2b005c4a.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170522/806c9...

Re: Cheap Super Duty
New conundrum. I've been looking and cannot seem to find an answer. I live in Minnesota btw. If I don't plan on registering the truck, do I need any insurance in it? It will live the rest of its life on private property. I wouldn't think so, but I seem to find some conflicting info online. Also with...

Thanks guys, this is very encouraging. Like it's been said, I suspect even if it's not that great I can still get some money out of it. I'll check all I can. This decision is a lot easier not needing it as a daily driver ha. I will see if I can Check on those parts later. Do you guys think it'd be w...

5.4 triton. I've heard decent things on the engine. It's been DOT inspected for its entire life and the company has fixed everything that's come up as it does. I also checked underneath and it's a solid front axel which I like. Plenty of rust, but that's expected in Minnesota. Sent from my iPhone us...

Cheap Super Duty
Hey guys, I respect the collective opinion of this forum more than most others I see, so I wanted to put this here. Hopefully I won't get booted for this lol. So a local landscape company is selling ~2002(not sure on exact year yet) F-350 with a gas v8 with a snow plow for $500. The truck has 121,00...

I got my steps and mudflaps put on now, and found a spot to kinda flex it. Wish I would have washed the truck first.

Is it a cummins? I can't tell from this pic. That's definitely dream truck status when I am rich and famous. I love the single cab trucks.

Is it just a computer controller you plug into the truck, or is there more to it than that?

Re: Power Wagons aren't the budget brawler they used to be?
For the record, I got a 2015 tradesman and was pushing hard to figure out some option for a manual. I have no need for all the power of a Cummins but almost went that route instead just for the trans. It's the only big thing I wish I could change on the truck. That and being level from the factory, ...
