Re: Snow tires - Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT2

I'm in the Traverse City area (Lake Ann).

Thought about 35s but decided on the smaller tires so there is less rotating mass. Figured that's better in the snow under braking. Also don't need as much clearance because a lot of the trails are inaccessible because of snow depth.

Snow tires - Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT2

I had the Nokians mounted on my '15 PW yesterday. They are sized 285/70R17 - no issues with fit (of course). I've got two winters and 30k miles on the Duratracs. They were acceptable in snow but not good. I live in NW Michigan and see 100-120" snow per year. A few years ago I took the plunge and mou...

Re: New Nitto Ridge Grappler tires (hybrid)

@reloaderguy What's your opinion on the RTs in snow? Which wheels are you using and do you know the offset? I'd like a little more clearance that the 37s would give. Also a different tire from stock. Considering the RTs and Ridge Grapplers but would buy wheels too. Seems like AEV 8.5" wide wheels ar...

Re: Tell me about your air bags!

Thanks guys. I order the Firestone/Daystar combo. Hope that setup works. My real issue is that the camper's COG is too far aft. I bought it because it has a wet bath and the previous owner had it on a shortbed. The COG is about 12-14 inches behind the axle. Didn't realize until got it on the truck a...

Re: Tell me about your air bags!

I recently bought an older Sun Lite truck camper to use with my 2015 Wagon. It's right at about 1400# loaded. Used the cheap method of securing the camper to brackets through the bed stake holes to get it home. Had a bit of sway when hitting uneven, bump pavement mid-corner. Not downright scary but ...

Nice looking truck you have there!

http://i.imgur.com/8z9Hbkgl.jpg The new Wagon after a dusting. Already has 1k miles in 9 days. No issues - everything works great. Added a Factor55 link for closed winching system. Aluminess sliders going on this week. Would like to add the fold out underseat platform to the backseat; can get it fr...

Re: AEV Ram!

Whats the downside of having the line going through two sets of rollers (or rollers and Hawse on the bumper)? I'd like to get a bumper to protect against wildlife strikes. The AEV bumper is pretty but doesn't have enough protection for me. Aluminess has the double rollers and I'm uncertain how alumi...

Re: FNG w/2015 Wagon

Thank you for taking the time to write that up. It's really helpful to understand the options. In your experience, will Chrysler cover the Power Wagon-specific equipment like the disconnecting sway bar and axle lockers? I didn't see these listed on covered components and they are ones that I worry w...

Re: FNG w/2015 Wagon

Thanks for all the comments. Yes, it does look dark in photos. In the light and in-person the green really shines. It's a very deep green. I took a gamble ordering without seeing the color and am happy with the choice. I put 400 miles on it today through snow and dry roads. It handled everything fin...

Re: FNG w/2015 Wagon

congrats, i've got the same truck minus the topper. I ordered the dual alts, uconnect 5.0, spray bedliner, tow brake. Which topper is that? We ordered the same options. The topper is a Leer 100XR with insulation, carpeted, sliding windoor and Thule tracks. I've had a 100R on another truck for a whil...

FNG w/2015 Wagon

I've been reading this forum a few years to learn about Power Wagons. Back in '13 I decided it was the truck for me. This forum has been super helpful to learn about these trucks. You guys were a major reason I decided to make an investment in a Power Wagon. Fast-forward to January when I pulled the...
