Re: Occasionally exceeding payload?
You should be fine. I tow a 12000 lb mini excavator on a 2000 lb trailer from time to time without any trouble. Just take it easy and you won’t have any problems.

Re: Winch Line Won't Retract
When mine went out, I tried everything including replacing all 4 solenoids. Turns out it was in the plug. Look at the back of the plug behind the bumper. Peel back the rubber and make sure all the wires going into the plug are good. Mine had corrosion on one of the wires and it would spool out but n...

Re: Winch is dead
Update: Thermal bypass, LVI bypass, 4 new solenoids, several cold beverages, and still a dead winch. Finally figured out that the problem was the connector where the remote plugs in. The back of the 5 pin plug was corroded and one of the wires had completely fallen out. Man I feel like an idiot. Any...

Re: Winch is dead
I think I will try the thermal protection mod, but I've worked the winch much harder than this in the past, and never had a problem. As far as the battery, I only have one. I bought the truck used less than 2 years ago and I've never replaced it, but I have no idea how old it is. Obviously I tried t...

Re: Winch is dead
It quit about 10 seconds into the pull. Nowhere near enough to overheat, but luckily just enough to get me pointed in a better direction.

Winch is dead
So the winch on my '11 died last week at the worst possible time. Wouldn't power in or out and no solenoids clicking. Just dead. After much work I was able to get unstuck and avoid walking 7 miles out of the mountains. I contacted warn and they were extremely helpful, but they told me that I couldn'...

Re: Show me your lightbars
I went through exactly the same thought process - don't want to look like a mall crawler, but really wanted the light output. I ended up just drilling the bumper to mount a 20" bar. I'll try to add a pic in the next day or so.

Re: Wagon was at dealer for recall fix, So I test drove a 20
One of my business partners has a 2015 2500 non-PW with the 6.4. He's put about 25000 miles on it already with no issues whatsoever. We are in construction, so his truck gets used pretty hard. Towing a 12000 pound mini excavator on a 2000 pound gooseneck trailer will test any truck. I never put a go...

Nice truck! Congrats! I'm in Princeton, so several hours away. If you ever get down this way let me know. I know a couple good trails.

Re: Tire Feedback
I have had them on for a couple weeks and a few hundred miles. I haven't really gotten out in the mud with them yet to play but they've impressed me on some pretty muddy job sites. In a couple places where I nearly got stuck on the worn out BFG's I haven't even needed 4wd. What amazes me is how quie...

I ordered a set of the mastercraft courser mxt's today for my 2011 PW. I'm going to try 315/70-17's on stock rims. I'll update when I get a few miles on them.

It can't be a diesel. There's not an 8" sewer pipe sticking up through the bed.

Re: Mandated Buy Back ordered for Fiat/Chrysler
I just bought my 2011 PW this January. Is there any way I can tell if the recall work has already been done to my truck without going to the dealer? I want to get it fixed, and I seriously doubt if a buyback offer from dodge would be enough for me to consider letting it go. I love my truck.

That's why I love this forum. Saw this topic for the first time yesterday, and my truck started leaking in the left rear seat today. Taking apart the 3rd brake light tonight.

Re: AMP powersteps reviews (thinking of getting a set)
I love mine. I have three kids under age 11, and I don't think they could get in the truck without some kind of step, but I sure didn't want tube steps. We had a pretty rough winter here in West Virginia, but all I ever had to do to keep the steps working was clean out the hinges with my fingers whe...
