New PW Pup

My last dog died about seven months ago at the ripe old age of 15. We decided it was time for a new dog and I got a new PW Pup. She's trail ready at 9 weeks!

Re: Anyone got artistic skills?

Just a followup, the dimensions aren't critical. The width isn't important as much as the height. We just don't want a really tall title bar at the top.

Anyone got artistic skills?

I totally suck at logos and artwork. Hoping someone out there has some skills that would like to try their hand at designing a logo for this forum. It would live in the top left next to where it says "Power Wagon Registry The place for Power Wagon owners to hang" and might be used on the registry si...

Re: Announcements

Sorry for the downtime, but we're in a real datacenter now. Will be migrating to VBulletin as the next step. So there will be more downtime in the near future as we get this to a great place.

You can always ask the community for some help if you need it.
Appreciate that, but even if someone drove over to the house, it’s kind of a one keyboard operation! ;-)

Re: The phoenix rises from the ashes

http://powerwagonregistry.org/ is showing the "Apache2 Ubuntu Default Page", x2 on getting the site hosted, I like the new theme are you going to keep it? Most likely, the registry will go away and we’ll replicate the functionality into the forum directly. I wrote the registry site a couple years b...

wonder what happen to the forum. I couldn't log on for the last couple of days.
Sorry about that. Normally, I'd redirect to another page to let people know something was going on if it was going to be prolonged, but the entire webserver was toast, so I couldn't do that.

Re: The phoenix rises from the ashes

No, but we can look at it too. PHBB has a whole slew of mods as well, I just never really wanted to stick a lot on, because it complicates upgrades and migrations.

The phoenix rises from the ashes

Well, this forum was about as FUBAR'd as it gets. I won't bore you with the details, but this has to be the hairiest recoveries I've ever done in my life. The good news is everything has been rebuilt from scratch (including a new reliable hard drive) and even though there was some data corruption, I...

Re: New or rebuilt 545RFE Tranny?

Don't get an ATS. Go stock replacement/rebuild or get a sharadon built if you're inclined to be abusive. Mopar parts overstock has new units with warranty for around 3k which is about what a sharadon stage 2 costs as well Or rebuild yourself for a few hundred. The 545 is fairly straight forward to ...

Re: New or rebuilt 545RFE Tranny?

Leif, I have an ATS. It was ok but I wouldn't do it as one who owns it. It has been giving me issues as of late like it was an old problematic truck. Get it rebuilt by someone you trust or go with a small performance shop that specializes in Mopar trans. I'm thinking about going either Randy's tran...

Re: New or rebuilt 545RFE Tranny?

Well, coming up on 200K miles and I'm throwing 700 and 750 codes on my tranny. Dropped the pan and replaced filters and fluid. This had been done about four years back and the fluid looked good and nothing remarkable on the pan magnet. Guess it'll go on me in the near future as it keeps throwing me...

Forum downtime

I don't know whether it will be on Thurs or Fri this week, but the server will be down for about an hour on one of those two days as we test the new solar installation. Everything is installed, we just need to do the testing which will require shutting down power first. As I get more clarity on the ...

Sorry for the downtime today. When I got home it looked like we'd had a power outage so I powered everything back up but a few hours later it all went down again. Looks like the UPS is on its last leg so I bypassed it for now. Going to pick up a new UPS or replacement battery sometime this week so w...

Re: MOAB 2015 PW rally!!!!!

Hey guys. It's with a heavy heart that I have to back out of the trip this year. Between my oldest daughter's trip to Japan for spring break, my youngest's to Galapagos over spring break and the shift in dates requiring more time off school for the girls, it just isn't in the cards for us this year....

Sorry if any of you all were impacted by forum issues today. At first it looked liked the MySQL DB service kept crashing. Ultimately, it ended up being the server was completely out of hard drive space. I had some log files in the hundreds of GB range consuming nearly 1TB of space. Those were ejecte...

Yep, looks like we're cooking with propane again. After replacing virtually everything on my property and my neighbor's property, they got things going a couple hours ago when they started replacing upstream amps. After replacing amps in three different upstream connection points everything came bac...

Re: Comcast issues

So they replaced a span around 9am this morning on the telephone lines. Didn't fix the problem. Then a comcast guy was here from 2pm - 7:30pm basically switching out everything from the modem all the way back to the comcast box on the street. There was some small improvement and after three modem sw...

Comcast issues

Sorry for the forum problems and slow speeds. Comcast needs to replace an entire span in our neighborhood. They will be doing that first thing in the morning on Saturday. I don't know how long it'll take them, but it should be fixed by Saturday evening and we'll return to our regularly scheduled pro...
