Re: Stainless brake lines
Thanks for the info. I tried KLM Performance but they say they don't have any that fit and they want pictures. The truck is my daily driver and I'm not pulling the lines and having to reinstall them just for pics. I also believe they just take your order and have Crown Performance make them. That's ...

Stainless brake lines
I have a 2012 powerwagon and am planning on getting stainless brake lines for it. Can anyone confirm that we can use the same lines as a 2500 truck? I have talked to Crown Performance and they say they don't know if they work and also want the banjo bolt size and female thread size. Or I have to tak...

Re: OBD Code Readers
Does that read locker codes? They start with a C. Reading the codes to troubleshoot locker issues is handy. I plugged mine into my 2012 with myoung's bypass and it showed the codes created using the bypass.

OBD Code Readers
I have noticed a lot of people say that you need a very expensive scanner or have to go to the dealer to read locker codes and such. I bought an Autel MD802 full system code reader for 220 CDN off Ebay (brand new, never used) and found that it reads those "C" codes. I am sure that any of their full ...

Re: Transfer case fill plug
I just welded an old bolt to the center of the plug and used a ratchet wrench to remove it then bought a new plug from the dealer.

Re: '08 Winch Questions
Not sure if it's relevant but I had winch spooling issues with an 05 powerwagon winch. Took it to an authorized Warn service center and they said it had a bad solenoid and that it had the wrong controller. They wanted over 400 CDN to fix it. I brought the winch home and found a pdf file for troubles...

Re: Not turning over
I just went through this issue as well on my brothers 05. Truck started fine for a month then would not turn over or click. Then the next day it starts fine. The issue was a loose ground going to the engine block behind the power steering reservoir. The threads were stripped so I ran a new ground wi...

Re: Vararam CAI?
I have only driven it in about 8 inches of snow and on the roads in heavy snow fall. When I checked the filter after driving in the snowfall, there was nothing around the filter. I am guessing it would be different if the filter sealed on the hood since the air would HAVE to be drawn through the fro...

Re: Vararam CAI?
I bought the Vararam for my 2012 because of the dual battery capability. I live in Edmonton Alberta and haven't had any issues with the snow. It doesn't seal on the top because of the hood configuration so maybe that's why it doesn't suck in all that snow.
I am still happy with it.

Re: Best dual battery setup
I have a 2012 and picked up a second battery tray and installed that for my second battery and used the Hellroaring dual battery setup. I had to get the Vararam intake to make room for the second battery under the hood but it also gave me enough room for a Viair dual 480C onboard air system. The Hel...

Adding heated seats
Hey guys, My bro has an 05 1500 with heated power leather seats and an 05 powerwagon with regular cloth seats. Does anyone know if we can pull the seats from the half ton and put them in the powerwagon and make them work? I assume we may need to pull the wiring harness if it's not already ran in the...

Gen4 locker bypass install
Hey Guys, I need a little help. I received one of Shelby's (CajunPW) bypass kits along with the instructions to install it but there seems to be a discrepancy between them. I have 1 main harness that (according to the instructions) has a T connector, a connector going to the front diff and a connect...

Re: Info needed for 2012 wagon
That's close to what Don had said. I will be getting his 3" coils, high clearance arms, the rear shackles, standard airbags, Daystar cradles and he said the overland shocks would be great.
I will definitely get the stainless brake lines and the track bar.

Re: Info needed for 2012 wagon
I was originally planning on 37's and Thurens 6" springs and such but after deciding on the fifth wheel I think the 37's would drop my gear ratio a bit too much. I see that Will is running 37's stock on his 2010 but I read somewhere that the 2010 (and 2011?) have larger wheelwells than the 2012. I t...

Re: Info needed for 2012 wagon
Thanks for the info guys. I will do a spring over on the fifth wheel if needed. I just sent another email to Don about his 3" coils and what kind of lift they will give. I think they will just level the truck out so running airbags in the back should work good with a fifth wheel. Does anyone know ho...

Info needed for 2012 wagon
Hey guys, I am planning on putting a lift in my powerwagon this summer and need a little info. I was going to get a Thuren 6" lift and talked to him about it and it sounded pretty good but now I am thinking of getting a fifth wheel. Will that lift be too high for the fifth wheel? What about his 3" l...

Re: Used Pricing on PW's
I bought a 2012 powerwagon fully loaded Laramie in Alberta from a used car dealership for 35,900. The previous owner kept the winch and it had 125,000km on it with aftermarket 20" wheels and tires.

Re: Need Your Help
Thanks for the info guys! I backed out of the deal. I had signed all the paperwork 2 weeks ago with the fact that they had to fix the locker switch. They first told me that it was a sensor of some sort, a couple days later another guy said it was a module but he didn't know which exact one and after...

Need Your Help
Hey Guys, I am in the process of buying an 07 powerwagon but have a small issue. I should of had it 2 weeks ago but I told the dealer I wanted them to fix the locker switch. It had no lights showing at all and there was no 4wd light or anything. I assumed it was the smartbar. They told me they had t...
