Re: Rambox organization

One side is emergency and towing gear. The other is empty and frequently gets used for groceries if all the seats are full. Once I get a bak-flip cover for more dry storage, I will fill up the other side with more emergency gear. My passenger side has my 60" hi lift, short handled shovel, Forrest s...

Re: Rambox organization

How’s that for timing. I just got back from shipping these out. These replace the plastic corner caps with rubber isolated, 1/4” steel, powder coated plates with a welded & smoothed tie-down point. Well hells bells. What am I looking at? The mopar rambox kit Santy brought me for Christmas has no co...

Re: Locker bypass kit

Of course it's doable, I can put an optional switch in the kit that shuts down the whole setup so turning the knob does nothing at all. Now we're talkin'. It might not be that important to some people. And honestly it is not extremely important to me (my wife and I are the only two souls that have ...

Re: Locker bypass kit

Sounds good! Cant wait! Will that new design have a main disable switch for it, by chance? Like a small toggle switch (that can be discretely hidden) so people (my wife!) don't accidentally turn the lockers on while cranking down the highway. I can easily put one under the hood next to the box, or ...

All I want is a simple truck with simple up-grades. Not some rolling tech mobile.
Then keep driving your '08

Of course when towing MPG is really not a thing anyways
The ghost trailering comment was not about actually towing something, but in reference to all the cool kids who have the tow mirrors out when they are not towing (ghost trailering). I bet that would really dick with MPG.

6% change in drag coefficient... just imagine what it would be with the mirrors in ghost trailer mode.

Re: Folding in Mirrors for better fuel mileage?

Well they did the tail gate thing back in the day and drafting. Both with solid results. Too bad they are not around anymore. I think I will try it on 2 90 mile trips coming, one folded one unfolded using cruise at a slow speed, say 82 MPH and see what happens. My guess would be 11.4 mpg with mirro...

Re: Folding in Mirrors for better fuel mileage?

Yep, I never had mirrors on my jk when the doors were off. Hated that so much. They seem a little overrated... until they are gone. I would consider getting the smaller non tow mirrors before I drove without any. Also, I would highly doubt there would be that big of a difference in mileage with our ...

Re: Gear Ratios / Tires - No Procal

Yes... but what that calculation does not factor in is the added rolling mass and resistance of the larger tires. There is no way I would spend the money to regear to 4.56's. Hell, I want 4.56's with the stock tires. You dont have to take my word for it, but I would suggest going to at least 4.88's ...

The L.P. tank is now gone, but the soft copper line is still in place (roughly 35 feet of it buried from the house ...

Ordered some Carli Hemi 3" coils and 2.5s from CJC on Friday, and got the delivery notification by noon on Tuesday. Really excited to get some real shocks on the blue whale! Now I need to lay down a bunch of miles on my 35" RT's so I can justify upping to a 37"... 20k on them and still lots left in...

I had pre-ordered this bypass kit but then heard he was going to make one that uses the factory switch and won't have shifting problems. So I had him not ship me this one and just put the $200 towards the better one. I think he said it might be a few months to make them. I will get in line right be...

Re: Recovery gear questions!

Yes, kinetic recovery ropes are insanely valuable and work so well in many situations. Just make damn sure both connections are secured well... if not it can get very ugly :o (and the same goes for about any recovery, but snatch straps are even worse).

Re: Dodge Off Road brand reliability

I'm not 100% sure, I know there have been issues getting our arms to work with Amp steps but I don't think anybody has asked about using them with White Knuckle sliders. I'll try to look some pics up and see. It's hard to make all of this stuff fit together sometimes, but if there is a way to do it...

Re: Dodge Off Road brand reliability

Judging by the few pictures I have seen, it looks like the front mounts for the White Knuckle sliders are utilizing the same realestate as the long arm 4-link frame mounts. Has this already been confirmed?
