Re: Intial Impressions from a Noob

Chevys come with dampened tailgates. I think maybe the furds do too, not really sure though. Cant believe ram doesnt. As far as the headlights go, I totally agree. What i found is instead of having to go into settings to shut them off when you dont want them, just turn the light knob to the point wh...

Well damn. So its not as easy as just tapping into each of the locker wires downstream from the smartbar and putting a switch on them? Figures.

Re: Airlifter 5000 Ultimate airbags w/ Daystar cradles '14+

Way better ride and handling then sticking two bricks between the frame and axle. Are you referring to airbags as bricks? My bags ride perfectly fine when aired up for towing, and you cant tell they are there when Im not towing. In my mind bags are without a doubt less work/trouble than those nitro...

Air shock, air bags... arnt they serving pretty much the same purpose, pretty much the same way? Why are they better (other than they are gone when not needed)?

I have never heard of anybody having issues like that. That is definitely odd. I have never even used my remote start

So your saying it works fine when it gets even colder?

Re: Hardwired lockers on 4-4.5 gen

That was one thing I liked about that kit I used for the Jeep... the factory switches still worked as intended. Also the fact that there was no cutting wires and it was relatively easy to install, even for a dummy like me. So your saying there is more to it then just tapping into a wire for each loc...

Hardwired lockers on 4-4.5 gen

Whos done it, and how did you go about it? I purchased this kit http://www.offroadengineering.com/product-locker-switches.html for my Jeep and it worked perfectly. I am wondering if I could do something like this with my truck, or maybe even utilize this particular kit. I know its probably way more ...

Re: Any Ordering Advice

Man, Im not quite sure how I would handle all of that... waiting forever... nobody could ever give you a straight answer... then shows up without ramboxes...

I think I would tell the dealer to let me know when the rambox box gets dropped off at the dealer for the swap...

Re: Intial Impressions from a Noob

Yea, the tires are overinflated straight from the factory (sidewall shows a 65psi max). I dont understand that. I have found the fronts to have to be up around 60psi for street driving, or they are just too squatty. The rears, when the truck is empty or unloaded, can be more around the 50 or even th...

Re: Airlifter 5000 Ultimate airbags w/ Daystar cradles '14+

No test with any weight yet, but with no load and 50psi in the bags the rear is 2.5” higher than the front (with the 1.5” leveling kit). I dont think I will really have any issues keeping the truck level without the bag spacer.

Re: Winching and Recovery 101

Anybody have recommendations for a good winch recovery “kit”? Something that has the majority of the main essentials, that may be at a bit of a discount because it is in a whole package.

Or is it better just to piece one together?

Re: Poser Shots in Moab

Only thing on a trail like Hole N The Rock (other then skinny parts like Wilson Mesa and The Rincon) is that shiny new rear bumper dragging over all those ledges. Maybe I will be "One of those guys" with a 6" drop receiver hitch to protect my new bumper  Well, your bumper wont be shiny (chrom...

Re: Airlifter 5000 Ultimate airbags w/ Daystar cradles '14+

So, now that you've remove the spacers, are you still able to keep the truck level with your raised front with a heavy payload/tongue weight? I actually have not even towed or put air in the bags yet since I removed the spacers. Seeing how I could raise the back up well above the level mark before,...

I'm really neutral about dor. I have their long bent arms. No issues with ordering. No issue with customer service. Product was excellent. Product was shipped exactly when I was told it would. Had to hit a corner of the plate with a grinder for just one bolt clearance (1/4"). Very happy. Yet everyo...

Sorry, the only tire chains I have ever used are the ones on my snowblower and the Big Red 3 wheeler I had.

I cant imagine driving on roads that require chains. Are chains better than studded tires?

Yes I appreciate it very much, Limamikemike! Yea there is no way in hell I can secure the clamp around the e-brake line, there just would not be ANY slack at all heading up to the frame. And there is no way the clamp slid anywhere, either, as it is so taped up that it cant move at all. Maybe the cla...

Well, great work everyone. I feel like we really nailed this down solid. I'm very comfortable with my install and its performing well. As a side note you should install the DOR steering brace. Really helped my steering especially under load while towing. Tightened it up. Thanks, I’ve been eye balli...
