Re: Suspension setup to fit 37x12.5s on stock wheels with zero rubbing, esp. on genie lamps?!!

You will clear many 37’s on stock wheels for the most part aside from some minor rubbing on the radius arms. The go-to around here for an actual upgrade in suspension is thuren. While it works for high speed stuff, its also a big upgrade for low speed technical wheeling as well. Your only gonna gain...

Re: Viair vs ARB

I have a York compressor here, it’s 10 or 12 CFM. I would love to get this on the truck but mounting anything to these trucks in the serpentine arrangement is a bitch. There’s almost nowhere to bolt anything on to. What about utilizing the location/setup where the second alternator would be mounted...

Re: Viair vs ARB

For a do it yourselfer who wants lots of air you go the modified air conditioning compressor route. If you dont have the dual alternator option, it seems like you could adapt it to where that would normally go. Plumb it all up to a large tank under the truck and you would have air for days.

Re: Viair vs ARB

For the price you pay, if you're not doing an onboard air setup with a big tank, I'd say go buy two Viair 300p or the 400p https://amzn.to/2Xf1rNZ You can buy two for less than the ARB twin unit and do two tires at once. But, I wonder if an arb twin would fill a tire twice as fast as one of those? ...

You'll sell them twice as fast if you remove the tires from the wheel. A lot of people want those wheels. Very few want those tires.

Maybe they installed aftermarket bumper and used a 16k winch instead.

Re: Viair vs ARB

You want portable or permanent?

The Viair 450p is a pretty good bang for your buck in my opinion for a portable unit. If I ever get around to an on-board mounted setup, I think I will be going the dual ARB route.

Couldn’t get a picture today, but ran across a white 4th gen with 2.5 kings and white knuckle sliders in the conroe/woodlands Texas area. Passed by at a stop sign in my lifted van and gave a thumbs up
