Re: Gears?

Mike can't handle 40's. I do see where he is coming from though. I would have to guess that 40s with a 6.4 feels much like a turd, even with 5.13s. And then to have to tow with it... People with 40's aren't towing anything substantial... Exactly my point. Not with the 6.4 anyway. With a cumm...

What shocks do you have on? You usually need long shocks to get the shaft close to the crossmember
Bilstein 7100s and daystar shackles.

Re: Front Diff Blow Up

And there is no damn way I would have basically given the dealership a blank check to fix my truck before they even told me what they were gonna do and why they were doing it... even if they were gonna pay half.

Re: Front Diff Blow Up

Maybe the entire issue originated from the cv joint in the front driveshaft locking up?

Re: Krown...Rust Check.... Fluid Film

So on the outer side of the rocker panels are several small rectangular rubber plugs. I pulled one off on each end, and one off in the middle. Inserted spray nozzle (connected to aerosol cans of fluid film) and coated all areas. (This is also how I do the door seems). I noticed a few of the plugs I ...

Re: Krown...Rust Check.... Fluid Film

Damnit, I’m pickin’ up what your throwin’ down now. You are talking about a barrier down the center of the rocker, LENGTHWISE. Shit. I have probably never been spraying much of anything on that side.

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

yikes. if you want a good 4:1 T case, the Rubicon (241J) works really well. My second gen weighs about 7klb and has 42"S and has been beat. Broke every part. exploded the stock 231DHD. Have ran the 241J since 2003 with no issues. No brainer for me, I would replace it with another if I blow it up. P...

Re: Krown...Rust Check.... Fluid Film

Yep, there are drain ports all along the bottom of the rockers. There is also a divider panel down the center of the rocker, you need to peel back the tape and look for the additional access ports inside. If not there is a good chance you're only spraying the inboard half of each rocker. Well shit,...

Yes. Remove the cap and reinstall without fueling up, and see if the same issue occurs.

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

Poor holding power isn’t to due with ABS, more to do with the torque converter wanting to pull you along. I do a lot of my slow downhill driving in neutral. If you REALLY want to have fun, someone else let me know when you find that seldom-activated engine shutdown feature that kicks in when you’re...

I still want a 4:1 transfer case or a better crawl ratio. I can barely hold my truck anymore in 1st gear low. Pretty disappointing.
Hold your truck? What are you referring to? I would think adding a lower gear in the case would make that even worse, but not exactly sure what you mean there.

Re: 2020 Power Wagon - Spied

The TRX and the Rumored 7.0L are going to be interesting to watch. My biggest complaint on my 2012 is the total lack of a passing gear. When on a two lane highway approaching 65mph and wanting to pass a slower vehicle it would be nice to have more power. I know these trucks are basically a big bric...
