Re: A New Low Point For Gender Identity

Male/Female are generally said with connectors with visible pins, that insert into the receptacle. Think connectors like a 120v wall plug, and most RF connectors. Plug/Socket are used when the pins slide against each other - HDMI, USB. Can't really gender the pins male/female, so manufacturers and e...

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread

I need a better LTE antenna myself for the booster. https://www.emwaveinc.com/antennas/em-m20007-lte-poly-pro-flexible-poly-band-antenna-698-960-1710-2700-mhz that's the one i'll probably go with. Lower profile too. Really disappointed with the Wilson antenna... the mag-mount I had it on previously...

Re: New Ignition Wires?

The Hemi has coil-on-plug ignition. How would those work? I think those are for a totally different application. I have not heard of the wires wearing out on a Hemi. It isn’t like a distributor system where the wire carries the direct ignition load, in our trucks the wire carries the low voltage pu...

New radiator. Had some issues overheating on long pulls with a trailer, that with the same trailer didn't used to overheat the truck. Also had a coolant smell in the cab... Portable booster is a go. Tripod, adapter plate, pole mount, and antenna. ~90ft of (kinda shitty) RG58, might try a different/better brand with a little more shielding... don't really want to make the jump to LMR400, but it'd help with the cable loss quite a bit. Will give it a go from the mountains...

Also worth noting, and it might seem obvious, but - It's not going to "make" service where there isn't anything. It will boost a weak signal into something useable. If you want service where there isn't anything, you'll need IP (Satellite works well; ~$1000 hardware and $100/mo) and a cellular netwo...

Re: Cell Booster install

Testing in the truck this evening I got about 20dB better on voice and 10dB better on 4G. (Measured on the phone's info screen.) Testing in the house earlier I got about 10dB better all around, but the outside antenna was in a real shitty position and had no ground plane. It did help though, and I s...
