That'd be a big noooooooooope for me.

Get the hitch and trailer's jack far enough from the receiver that the trailer clears the tailgate. Not that big of a deal.

Re: Does the Sway Bar Disconnect ever work?

Mine works great. Shift into 4 (high or low), press the button, light blinks... if it doesn't disengage in a second or two, a wiggle of the steering wheel to unbind things is all it takes.
Lockers are the problematic feature.

I'm not sure how you're getting in/out of the truck, but I have literally never had that issue.

Re: Fire Extinguisher

I've got a little RV extinguisher between door and drivers seat. Just enough room there, out of the way, and easy access if needed.

Re: 05 sway bar link recommendations

Purchased and installed. Of the stores I checked, none had "Power Wagon" in their online catalog - picking 4x4 and looking for the "Sway bar electronic disconnect" option gets you what you're looking for. Moog K750757 got the most relevant results. Napa 265-3286, their "EL905X", is what I got. Looks...

Re: 05 sway bar link recommendations

Nut backed off the drivers side, threads were rusty and the new nut didn't want to go on nicely. Cammed out the [s]torx[/s] 7mm Allen head on the stud. Standard 2500's sway bar ends are horizontal, links for those are a threaded rod with urethane bushings on either side of the bar. Power wagon, bein...

05 sway bar link recommendations

Thought it felt different... M14 nut backed off the drivers side link on the top. Stopped by a hardware store and picked up two new flange nuts (spun the pass. side off to take in). Pass. side threaded on fine. Drivers side is rusty/stucky. On and holding but still loose....driveable, but it...

They lost a snowmobile ramp I ordered years ago. 50-something lbs, 8 feet tall. "Lost".

Re: Torque Wrench

I'm in the "Go cheap and take care of it" camp. Torque wrenches aren't rocket science. The HFT ones I have (1/4, 3/8, 1/2") have all cal'd good-enough for engines/accessories. Biggest thing for bolt patterns is repeatability - that all fasteners are torqued close to each other. They don't all have t...

Re: PW stalls after refueling

Sounds fuel pumpy to me. Could be evap, or a gas cap issue. On dirtmobiles, there's a check valve (usually just a wiggle-ball sorta deal) in the cap, if that sticks/gums up then the tank will create a vacuum and the bike stalls when it can't get fuel. Pop the gas cap, if you hear a suction sound it ...

Re: A New Low Point For Gender Identity

Male/Female are generally said with connectors with visible pins, that insert into the receptacle. Think connectors like a 120v wall plug, and most RF connectors. Plug/Socket are used when the pins slide against each other - HDMI, USB. Can't really gender the pins male/female, so manufacturers and e...

I need a better LTE antenna myself for the booster. https://www.emwaveinc.com/antennas/em-m20007-lte-poly-pro-flexible-poly-band-antenna-698-960-1710-2700-mhz that's the one i'll probably go with. Lower profile too. Really disappointed with the Wilson antenna... the mag-mount I had it on previously...
