Re: Why has AEV turned to such shit?

It's kind of strange how fast you two came calling in this thread. Odd indeed. I came to this thread to comment because Zig was browsing the forum (like we both do), and showed me Mike Key posted about "us two guys". So here I am. Btw. I look at this forum and a few others that are all about ...

Re: Why has AEV turned to such shit?

If this wasn't so Damn funny I'd be annoyed. Everyone has their taste. But this thread was asking why has aev gone to shit. Which if you have anything higher than a grade 5 education would recognize that the question clearly states that aev was ok or even good and now have gone to shit. See. Some p...

Re: Why has AEV turned to such shit?

Shit coil spacers, weak drop brackets, same dog shit rubber isolators as OE, drive shaft extensions, rebadged WheelPro cast wheels, etc. Just off the top of my head. While I agree that geometry correction through spacers is not for everyone, they ride and handle great. Mine is in stock suspension, ...

Re: Why has AEV turned to such shit?

I've gotten pretty good at listening to my intuition and it seems like AEV isn't headed in the right direction any more. Sly marketing speak, cheap parts, hiding from customer's feedback/opinions. Something just doesn't seem right, what the hell happened? I can't comment on cheap parts as I haven't...

Re: Which Bed Cover

How about the Baklfip Covers. I have both a Revolver X2 currently installed. Easy access to the bed. If you run a tailgate seal with this setup, it would stay mostly dry in there. Tailgate is the only area where water comes in. Bed space is secure when tailgate is locked. I also have a Baklflip MX4....

By yourself? I never recommend that.. esp this time of year. Storms come in fast and an easy trail can turn into impassable fast. Happened last weeend already. Go to Funtreks.c o m and by the two CO books. One is for North of I70 and the other is for South of it. They have a book for Moab too. Depen...

Speaking of taking apart that console, does anyone know how to turn the 4WD handle. Mine is twisted somehow. New 2016 and the letters (4wd, 2wd, etc) are twisted to the 10 o'clock position.

2016 mod questions

500 miles into this 2016 and loving it! Ordered up the SPOD, Traxda 1 1/2" front and 1" rear along with the DDM headlights. I plan to get AEV Katla wheels and BFG tires soon. 35" BFG KO2's are what I ran on my 14PW with a 18X9 5"bs wheels. The 35" Toyo MTs rubbed too much so made that switch with a ...

Any other updates? Tire carrier additional parts solve the rattle? Have you had a chance to flex this up yet with the swaybar disco'd? I understand this will not be a crawler, but just curious how the tires fit.

SPOD

Well, I ended up trading the truck in recently. Before I did, I pulled the SPOD out. It's "like new" seeing as I only had it installed for a short time. It comes with two mounting brackets for The Source (aka relay bank for under the hood) and SIX Blue switches (pictures only show 3 mounted). All pa...

Re: Off Road Rack for new power wagon

Forgot to post. Joe, I have a guy in Denver that does incredible fab work. I'm sure he can make this as he did a tire carrier with winch setup for a 40" tire. He is not cheap by an means. I'm happy to have one or 6 built off of my truck. The hard part will be transportation while it's getting done.....

The levelling kit was a Max trac 2 1/2" Did you take before and after measurements? Just curious if you got the full 2 1/2" of lift... Based off my measurements if I did a 2 1/2" lift the front would be a touch higher than the back... Id be OK with that if I actually do a front bumper replacement b...

Re: Not impressed with my bfg TA KO's

If you think BFG AT's suck on ice and want a mud tire, you're really gonna be hating life. I have ran KM2's, Toyo MT's, Nitto Trails, the old MTR, Procomp Extreme MT. Every MT on the planet (unless siped) sucks on ice and some are "ok" at best on snow. The more siping you have, the better the tire i...

Re: Off Road Rack for new power wagon

Hello, I am new here, so sorry it this has been thoroughly covered. I just bought a 2015 Power Wagon, and traded in a RAM 1500 and heavily modded Jeep Wrangler. I want to build the PW into an expedition style vehicle. I already ordered a hard bed cover, bed slide, steps, light bar, and have lots of...
