Re: Third Brake Light Wiring

This was the wiring job I received at the Leer Factory when they installed my cap. The work they did behind inside the taillight was even worse. 696.jpg Mine looked like that but was hidden behind the tail light. The first time I drove the truck in the ran I got EVIC codes for the 7 way charge line...

Suggest tagging and bookmarking the Army Manual on rigging and winching linked below---I'll spare the pedantic resuscitation of force calcs, but suffice it to say, there's math to be done if you're concerned about breaking strengths.

Army Manual FM 5-125
Thanks for the link.

Re: Dicks Sporting Goods.................

My little guy is in 2nd Grade. They had a writing assignment this past week. The topics for these are always touchy feely. The latest one was answer the question: "What makes you feel safe?" I am sure that there were lots of cute little responses. What does he write? "Building rifles with my dad." ...

Re: 40-Inch Tire Discussion

Fiberglass fenders is an expensive, painful, sweet mod versus AEV flares. I've been thinking this would be the way to fly with a control arm suspension since we can't move the axle ahead as much. Not crazy about the way the Fiberwerx fenders look but they would do the trick. Any other vendors you h...

I have a couple of lowers that need built. Keeping they on ice for awhile.
I have everything built at the moment. I am going to grab a few more and put them in the stash once the foolishness settles down. It is funny how they grow into full rifles with time.

How many more AR's do I need? Isn't 10 enough?
ARs are like beers. You can never have too many.

Re: Dicks Sporting Goods.................

Let me preface this with the fact that I own several guns and a couple ARs. But why are folks getting bent out of shape when a privately owned company wants to stop selling a product or change how they sell a product? Who gives a sh**, it's there store, they can choose to sell or not sell whatever ...

Re: Tube Bumpers and OEM Winch Positioning

I need to resize these photos. This is the hybrid bumper I’m working on. There’s going to be a lot of small changes and will be a full bull bar option. Mounts to the frame with a 1” laser cut recovery point, leaves winch in stock location and sits so tight that it doesn’t need a second fairlead eve...

Re: Tube Bumpers and OEM Winch Positioning

That's a Rogue Racing bumper. They make one for Ram 2500 with either mesh or the dimple holes. They call them side skins.

Re: Dakar Wheels

I noticed the same things; 8" wide, expensive, and you can bet freight from the east coast is going to be high too. It's a good looking wheel (assuming "EVOCorse" and "Fondmetal" are decals you can peel off), but the 8" width is the real killer for me. This may be the one and only time being in the...

Re: Dakar Wheels

Pretty expensive for low pressure cast. I was surprised that they are not forged too given the classes they are certified for. I don't do anything high speed or too crazy so I doubt I would break them. It is a lot of coin regardless. I spent too many hours at an impressionable age watching World Ra...

Dakar Wheels

Interesting option. Good offset for our trucks and tough as hell. They are salty though. I might stop in there and see them in person the next time I am down that way. Thinking the Matte Bronze might look cool on my blue truck. https://www.mainlineoverland.com/products/evo-corse-dakarzero-17x8-dodge...

Nice rig. Post some pics of the bumpers when you get them done. Anxious to see what you come up with.
