Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread

A little salt and sand in OBX. OBX1.jpg We were laughing all week at people taking crossovers, little SUVs and cars out on the beach and getting stuck and just trashing them. Somebody took an afternoon and gathered up a small portion of the valence panels and air dams strewn up and down the beach to...

Re: Recovery calculations, math made simple

This is the most comprehensive & accurate explanation of recovery calculations I have ever seen posted on this site !!! Kudo's to you sir    Farm boys, & military men agree, off-roading will inevitably lead to some wicked stucks. Sometimes, you just gotta be there to believe...

Re: 2011 PW Tailgate pops open while driving??

Mine will do that if I don't slam it shut (2012). I can tell if it is fully latched or not by pulling on it after I close it. It is in the latch mechanism somewhere. I have not pulled it apart yet since I can still get it to latch. I guess I should before it gets worse.

Re: Tire Feedback

I’ve been really happy with my 35/12.5/17 Toyo RTs. 25k mi so far and they’re between 10/32 and 11/32 (for reference, new is 18/32). I came across a set of 5 brand new 37/12.5/17 RTs in the classifieds near me so I jumped on them. The height/width looks great, and I think they fill out the wheel we...

Re: A Tale of Diagnostic Woe

I was thinking today my dream truck is a rolling chassis without a powertrain or warranty. Imagine if you could buy a brand new Power Wagon with blank integrated computer like a Holley and then fit any engine and transmission combo you wanted. Knock $20k off the price and build your dream truck. No...

Re: A Tale of Diagnostic Woe

Sorry to hear that brother. I was just without my manly steed for a week too while flying monkeys and dwarfs played with it. They were not happy yesterday when I drug them into the parking lot in the 90 degree heat in front of the boss to let the 70 PSI of air they put into my 37s down to a pressure...

Re: Recent Warranty Work

In this episode of I Love My Extended Warranty we replaced upper and lower ball joints on both sides, complete tie rod assembly, front pinion seal and a starter or ignition computer module (turn the key and get 12 to everything but it would not turn the starter over).

Re: Third Brake Light Wiring

This was the wiring job I received at the Leer Factory when they installed my cap. The work they did behind inside the taillight was even worse. 696.jpg Mine looked like that but was hidden behind the tail light. The first time I drove the truck in the ran I got EVIC codes for the 7 way charge line...

Suggest tagging and bookmarking the Army Manual on rigging and winching linked below---I'll spare the pedantic resuscitation of force calcs, but suffice it to say, there's math to be done if you're concerned about breaking strengths.

Army Manual FM 5-125
Thanks for the link.

My little guy is in 2nd Grade. They had a writing assignment this past week. The topics for these are always touchy feely. The latest one was answer the question: "What makes you feel safe?" I am sure that there were lots of cute little responses. What does he write? "Building rifles with my dad." ...

Re: 40-Inch Tire Discussion

Fiberglass fenders is an expensive, painful, sweet mod versus AEV flares. I've been thinking this would be the way to fly with a control arm suspension since we can't move the axle ahead as much. Not crazy about the way the Fiberwerx fenders look but they would do the trick. Any other vendors you h...

I have a couple of lowers that need built. Keeping they on ice for awhile.
I have everything built at the moment. I am going to grab a few more and put them in the stash once the foolishness settles down. It is funny how they grow into full rifles with time.

Let me preface this with the fact that I own several guns and a couple ARs. Who gives a sh**, it's there store, they can choose to sell or not sell whatever ...
