Re: Airam Power Wire
The explanation I saw that makes sense does not deal with fuel, but with timing. Fueling is constant, except at WOT. The gains from this are supposedly from timing advance. Sent from my safe space If you advance the timing you have to change to premium to compensate, if this is just a resistor that...

Re: Airam Power Wire
i forgot all about air ram. good to see he's still around. if i remember correctly, it did make a difference. its basically tricking the computer into thinking the intake air temperature is cooler then it actually is using a resistor i believe. this makes the computer add more fuel and you get a sm...

Re: Vararam CAI?
That's why I tried it to open up that area. DW, I didn't notice any improvement in mpg or throttle response but it was loud when you got on it. Would get very annoying if hauling and in the gas more than cruise. I really didn't notice any increase in noise but the issue is the thing is a Ram air in...

Re: Vararam CAI?
I had one on my 1500 and i loved it. It really did make a difference in performance but like above the 2500 hood is taller so it probably wouldn't seal. I know I drove through a lot of snow with that truck and never had an issue with snow getting in it and I checked it quite often. The deepest snow ...

Re: 2015 tuner
As long as you go into it not expecting gas mileage gains it was worth it at the $400 price I paid. Now I know I wouldn't spend $1000 to do it but that is just me. It makes a good bit of difference in the everyday drive ability that the truck has, but I mainly did it for the fuel mileage gains I nev...

Re: 2015 tuner
Yes you need a new ecu for anything later than 2014. From what I've read it is a 5 minute job to swap the ecu's and it is pretty much idiot proof. The tuners are super easy to use and Sean (hemifever) can walk you through the whole thing but it isn't hard.

Plug and play aside from wiring the locker. The advantage is no drilling into the housing to run wiring or air lines.

Re: No Feakin SuperChargers!
You have an intake available, long tube headers, tuners, and torque converts available. Pretty much everything but forced induction. The gains on this though are nothing to laugh at, you are looking at at least a 40 hp gain with those.

Re: Thoughts on the '16 after 10k miles.
I've never had wheel hop of any kind. That said, it's pretty easy to improve the suspension on either platform. I've mentioned it before; the 14+ wallow badly because of the rear track bar, you can feel the axle moving side to side in rolling off camber turns. The problem is exaggerated in Power Wa...

It must be just certain vehicles with that alternator? I have the 220 amp in my 2014 but typing my Vin in to the mopar site says I have no open recalls.

Re: AEV Ram!
So, now I'm buggered. Just spent well over $3K on my custom line-x bumper work & other black out work, spent considerable time trimming pinch welds so my new 37's won't rub and plastidip my wheels to match. I was content doing some HID & LED lights in the headlamps & fogs & then add some theuren 3"...

Re: Can you still tow with D rated tires at 50 PSI?
I have mastercraft courser mxt's on my non pw 14 2500. I never towed with it with e rated tires but I have with these. I set them to 35 psi rear and 50 psi front when not towing to make sure the entire tire touches the ground. When we re-did a retaining wall I put 50 psi in the rear to haul and tow....

Re: New Toyo AT2's, bad squirm on the highway!
My dad had the original open country a/t's. They were a good tire, really good in sand, snow, wet, but they were a load range E that had a softer feeling sidewall than the load range d tires that came off the truck. They also turned to absolute garbage in the snow and wet after about 30k. It is like...

Re: Tire? 35's v 37's & Nitto v Toyo
Stock 2500/3500 springs don't flex all that well. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk According to aev, they gain an inch more uptravel with their kit on 37's (so they must flex somewhat good enough). But that may just be over a normal 2500. A power wagon may already have more uptravel, i dont know...

Re: About to pull the trigger on a 15 PW, need some advice!
Well, kind of. There isn't a direct correlation between spring rate and towing capacity. Tow rating is more like a summation of all the parts, D rated tires included. Springs, tires, sway bar, etc all go into the towing and carrying capacities. There pretty much is a direct correlation when the onl...

Re: About to pull the trigger on a 15 PW, need some advice!
I bumper pull a 11500 38foot open range camper all over the country. I guess I have been lucky, the only mods I did was a muffler delete so I can hear hear my engine and shift points (old school) and I installed no drill Firestone 5000 airbags to accomidate the 1200lb hitch weight. I also swapped t...

Re: Tire? 35's v 37's & Nitto v Toyo
How do they go about clearancing for turning? Or are they not made to turn while stuffing the suspension? Because I know with my 2" level which would put me right around that same height, maybe an inch less, that there is no way I'm clearing 37s while stuffed and turned without doing bodywork on th...

For those considering increasing tire size when your stock 33" GY Duratracs are worn out, or just want a bigger tire, here's some photos I snapped of the unmounted OEM 33" next to the mounted 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers (@45PSI of max 50). With all the available technology could you maybe post a pict...

Hi everyone, I've been reading about the Max Care lifetime extended warranty from Chrysler. Is there a set mileage by which the wa...
