Re: Truck Coming in April - Will have 33s/Wheels/Grill

Personal opinion, I always see guys on FB and Ram forum spending forever trying to unload their wheels and asking too much and having no luck, then reducing the price, over and over. The most successful are the ones who separate the wheels from the tires. The OE tires are crap. Get them pulled off ...

Some people flex and crawl - others spend time at the mall :poke:
Some people haul and tow - others see how fast it can go

Is there any place in the states left without a speed limit?

Re: Folding in Mirrors for better fuel mileage?

Well they did the tail gate thing back in the day and drafting. Both with solid results. Too bad they are not around anymore. I think I will try it on 2 90 mile trips coming, one folded one unfolded using cruise at a slow speed, say 82 MPH and see what happens. My guess would be 11.4 mpg with mirro...

Re: Folding in Mirrors for better fuel mileage?

I'd be more interested in a test around 70 mph than 85.
The masses don't typically drive 85 in the Power Wagon...

Re: Transmission issue.

That's great that the issue is resolved!

Not just in your case - but in some cases, we run the risk of unexpected negative outcomes when we jump to non-OEM parts - even when the parts are supposed to be superior.

The fuel mileage change on our trucks would be unmeasurable...

The reason for folding mirrors on any vehicle is for clearance not fuel mileage

Re: Big Time shudder at low speed/low pedal

There is a signature two-tone squeak that the universal joints often make when they are going bad. It is most audible when you first take off - and progressively gets faster as you speed up. Do you remember hearing this universal joint squeak?

Re: MPG calculator versus hand calculations

Not sure where you were going with the concept of "negative" MPG... But that would require your truck generating fuel and putting it back in the tank. The lowest MPG a heavy foot can hope to achieve is still 0 MPG :poke: Well, lets just say the truck averaged a horrible 2 gallons per mile (no, not ...

Re: MPG calculator versus hand calculations

I have compared the computer readout to hand calculations at every fill up with my new work truck (‘17 Ram 1500 with hemi). It was dead on once, the rest of the time the computer has read anywhere from .5-1 mpg more than the actual hand calculation shows. As far as my Power Wagon, if I can muster 1...

Surface prep is everything... And don't forget about the puck - scrape it clean with a razor blade, and then clean it with acetone (not moisturizing nail polish remover  ) Scrape the glass with a razor blade - feel it with your fingers, it should be silky smooth. Clean the glass with acetone, ...

Do you have the adjustable pedal option?
Yes sir.
I believe that is an issue that only affects the vehicles with the adjustable pedals option. The whole pedal set can shake around.

I'm pretty sure Ram knew that you would need a locker bypass kit to make the lockers work reliably. It's probably for connection to that. :poke: :poke: :poke:

Re: Why has AEV turned to such shit?

Howdy, just out of curiosity... How much effect on articulation does the 4 leaf-1 ton helper springs have? I currently tow a max of 7700 LBs but with gear and stuff in the truck I'm probably pushing the weight limit a bit. The helper springs would be a great addition if they don't hose the off road...

I always liked my Toyo's but these look so close in design and are 9 lbs +/- lighter each which should be a huge advantage, AND they were $50 cheaper each tire compared to TOYO
Makes ya wonder if less weight translates into less strength...

Don't bother having them call you - no one really knows when it will arrive - even if they tell you that they do!

It will just show up one day - when you least expect it.
