Re: Why has AEV turned to such shit?

Howdy, just out of curiosity... How much effect on articulation does the 4 leaf-1 ton helper springs have? I currently tow a max of 7700 LBs but with gear and stuff in the truck I'm probably pushing the weight limit a bit. The helper springs would be a great addition if they don't hose the off road...

I always liked my Toyo's but these look so close in design and are 9 lbs +/- lighter each which should be a huge advantage, AND they were $50 cheaper each tire compared to TOYO
Makes ya wonder if less weight translates into less strength...

Call a spade a spade! The Power Wagon didn’t make it on the tougher line. No need to make a lot of excuses
On a different day, any one of those trucks might have failed too.

Don't bother having them call you - no one really knows when it will arrive - even if they tell you that they do!

It will just show up one day - when you least expect it.

If you don't spend most of your time off-road flexing, I think you would find the latest generation truck far superior to your older truck -IMHO Here is a past post on this issue... http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3705&p=59923#p59923 And my 2014 PW gets about the same unloade...

Re: The phoenix rises from the ashes

I noticed that the forum members' info on the right side pane of the posts are showing up with Model Year: 2014 for members with newer trucks. This includes members with 2015's, 2016's, 2017's etc.

Not a big deal for me since my PW is actually a 2014

Try a jump first - in case the battery is discharged.

Re: Occasionally exceeding payload?

Not an issue if you are careful. Get Load Range E tires if the stockers are LR-D, and don't do anything stupid. Air bags will help but are not necessary. I regularly carry 4,000 pound loads in my GMC 1/2 ton, but I have upgraded to 1-ton brakes and LR-E tires, and I am careful. The PW brakes are mo...

I know this is not about power wagon but hoping some one can help. Thanks looking at 350 single ...

Re: What Thickness of sliders?

The thicker wall has virtually no resistance to bending, but is more resistance to denting. (resistance to bending is primarily diameter) I went 0.120" I have 2" 0.120" on my 2nd gen for both sliders and roll cage and it's been rolled multiple times and rocker protection abused as much as possible....

Re: Need to be talked into, or out of purchasing a new PW

I was in a similar boat as the OP... I didn't really need the Power Wagon - I just wanted it! :cash: Already had a Cummins Megacab - so towing wasn't an issue. I love the taller stance from the factory, and the soft springs do make it ride more like a 1/2 ton than a 3/4. As we all know, it doesn't m...
