Re: BDS
Check out 8lug truck gear. CJC or strapt performance. They have all you could need to properly lift your truck and improve its performance. I have dealt with all 3 companies and they are great. Just be brutally honest with what you want your truck to do. I am pretty sure a solid carli or thuren 3" a...

Re: Thuren lift...
Get a definite measure on actual lift height, that will dictate whether or not you would need anything. Im sitting right at 4" of lift and have no issues with my truck, you should be ok but its better to be safe

Re: Thuren lift...
Measure from the lip on the factory bump stop cup on the front frame rail to the top of the bump stop strike pad on the axle. Subtract 4 from that measurement and that is your lift height.

Its a forum. We are adults. If something really gets you that irritated on the interwebs maybe you need to stop being like Kip from Napoleon Dynamite and maybe get off the computer and go do something. Idk. Just a simple thought. Im a nobody. My opinion on a forum is minimal at best. Do I care, NO. ...

Re: New guy on the block.
From my extensive time spent on a few other forums, it seems as the gains may not necessarily be HUGE by swapping your rear springs to deavers. Compared to stock 2500 diesel leafs, yea big improvement, but the PW leafs are actually a really decent leaf. Id save some coin and see if getting the front...

Re: Need new shocks opions?
So keep 200 pounds back there all the time :) honestly aside from maybe playing with tire pressure a bit the unloaded ride of these is darn nice. I swapped from stock 2500 diesel leafs to pw leafs and it was a huge improvement. When I think my truck rides like shit I just take a spin in my unloaded ...

Re: Need new shocks opions?
Fox 2.0 IFP non resis or 5100s. 8 lug truck gear carries them both in package deals and the foxs are a tad more expensive then the 5100s. When I get the coin ill be swapping my 5100s for them and ill do a comparison. Either way is a step up from OEM. I think the 5100s are a little harsh but I like a...

Well for next time. I usually do it when I plan on re spraying a whole wheel. that way I just peel the old plasti dip off after I get overspray from tire shine on it instead of the clean wheel.

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread
Instead of masking off the tire, just wipe it with tire shine. The plasti dip wont stick. I just spray a rag and wipe the tire so I dont overspray on the wheels. Way easier then taping the tires.

Re: Toyo R/T and BFG AT KO 2
I have mastercraft mxts. Got in a pinch and needed tires and toyos were backordered and coopers were too long of a wait. Hindsight is 20/20 I have a local guy who wants to swap me for some bfgs. So ill run them for the winter and see what is available in spring. After all these tire related issues i...

Re: Thuren-Carli C arms and 35"s
Go to a supplier like strapt performance, cjc or possibly 8 lug truck gear and see if they carry the arms, usually they have them in stock which eliminates the wait when buying directly through thuren. He fills his orders for suppliers and back orders first I believe so you'll be on a long list.

Re: Toyo R/T and BFG AT KO 2
Yeaaaa I cant say im that Lucky. Im currently trying to get a Craig's list buyer for my 37s. Then its back to my old 33s (gag) until I figure out Wtf to do. So many 35" choices bit they look so silly at 4" of lift. Yet 37s are usually overpriced and hard to find.....the struggle is real

Re: Steering wheel play
Look at the top of the steering box from engine compartment there are 4 bolts holding the top plate down and in the middle is a bolt with an Allen head adjustment screw. The nut is a 16mm and the allen was 5/32 on my truck. Spray the box clean with some brake cleaner, crack the 16mm nut loose, then ...

That's the issue, looks play a part as well, they fit most needs perfectly, but the fact that guys want looks too leads them towards other choices. All I know is after the headaches im having with my balancing issues im not cheaping out on tires again

Re: Toyo R/T and BFG AT KO 2
Duratrac only comes in 315 as the biggest offered size. Bfgs are hit or miss with reviews, some love them, some hate them, I ran a set of 315s and had no issues with them aside from them being small. I do think there are better choices available now tho

Re: Steering wheel play
Yea, I went like a 1/4 my first turn, check lock to lock and make sure theres no binding, see how it feels then I went in smaller increments until I liked how it felt. Thats just on my box and knowing how worn it was, I knew it was gonna take alot to adjust so i didnt go smaller adjustments until i ...

Re: Steering wheel play
I just did this last week. Made a noticeable difference, I had about the same amount of play off center side to side. Everything is brand new on my front end, so I decided to adjust the box. Just remember go a little at a time. Mine took a half turn to take up the slop, granted it made it nice again...

I honestly would let someone else guinea pig them and see how they review. Toyos are notorious for being quality but im always skeptical of new release products. The ats have been tested and have a nice warranty to boot.

Ahhh yes, the snowball effect.....I have 2k into my front end within 10k of the jump to 37s. I put 90k with 35s without issue....and im still not completely done, but damn 37s are sweet!!!
