Re: When will we see the 8 speed?

"I actually really like my 3g Mega Cab. The only things I wish were different are things I could change - open front diff, little undercarriage protection, and not enough suspension travel. Quite honestly, I don't need a new truck, but there's something I really miss about my PW... I just can't des...

Re: When will we see the 8 speed?

Well, let me help you out here. LOL  It is called Power Wagon Envy. Now, I can only speak for my truck, mind you. The ability to drive around other factory stock trucks & pull them out is nothing short of awesome (at least to me anyways). Then, to drive right through where they were stuck, wit...

Re: When will we see the 8 speed?

Happy winter, Winch Mob! I've been missing my PW since I traded it for my Mega Cab with Cummins. That whole thing is an issue for another day and thread... I have been ready to pull the trigger on a new PW, for a while now, but really want to see the 8 speed trans behind the 6.4 to see how it does....

That's definitely a good looking rig! I like the decals - my vote would be to keep em. I've only seen the red ones so far and the black with decals looks really sharp, too.

That's a sharp looking truck! I just got into a Mega Cab (2006) and I am positive that it wouldn't even flex that well!

Re: Batteries

Glad to hear that you just got in on that warranty, by the skin of your teeth. With my luck, they'd have died on a Sunday, with the warranty expiring the Saturday before and the only reason I'd have missed getting there would be because the tow truck would have been late due to a flat tire. :)

Re: Baby Seat in a 3g

I think you'll like the cummins! Thanks! I am without a doubt a diesel guy. Don't get me wrong, I loved my PW, but the Cummins is an incredible motor. In the past I had a Duramax that was fairly modified (enough to beat modified C5's to 80mph), and another Cummins. The way diesels make power is a w...

No need to explain, do what's right Sir! We're behind you! Take care if them both... Thanks, man! As soon as the baby gets here and is all settled in, I'll be starting the work that it will take to get the mega cab to a "near" PW capability! Hopefully by May it will be capable enough to be consider...

Re: New DD/project.

I looked at those many years ago but my lanky body just doesn't fit into the drivers seat.....not enough leg room x2! I remember rolling one of those multiple times... not as much fun as I had expected. The good news is that it was caged and we knew we were going to roll. It's still not a fun thing...

Oh, and in case you've never checked into this, Amsoil and Blackstone are two reliable places to get it done.

Re: High Mileage PW Help-Issues

It also wouldn't be a bad idea to get an engine oil sample from it and send it for analysis. That may be able to give you an indication of how healthy the internals are. Other than that, the hemi engine is really reliable, so if the lockers and smart bar work, and the trans and transfer case is smoo...

i hate to say i own a honda odyssey minivan. with 3 kids under 4 years old it was the only option. i have to say they are awesome for kids. i am however counting down the days till i get to trade it in for a suburban or tahoe. my wife calls it the 'man van'. she's threatened to have flames painted ...

It's insane how much room it has. And with the cummins it gets great fuel mileage, too. Now I just have to start with some minor mods.

Re: Baby Seat in a 3g

I would have the wife ride in back with the infant while having the rear facing seat and keep the dog in front. That way she can tend to the baby without getting out of the front seat, the dog is away from the baby and you keep the PW till the seat goes forward facing. That's not a bad idea... for ...

You make me feel guilty for not keeping my winch cable wound that nicely! Can't wait to see the after pictures. Always keep a come along in your truck or a good big ratchet strap in case your winch is used a lot and not wound back properly you will have serious issues with getting that effer back o...
