Re: 2006 Power Wagon new to forum

Your rear locker actuator needs replacing the same thing happened to my 07, you have 2 options replace the factory unit I was able to get it done for around $650 by buying the part online and taking it to a reputable differential shop or hard wire the rear locker switch. There may be some guys on he...

Re: Front Diff Blow Up

Have you had a front pinion seal leak fixed in the past if it was not done right it could have caused some premature bearing wear?
If you want an alternative to the dealer for repairs J&S Gear Co. is excellent the shops in Huntington Beach.

Re: ZR2 diesel test drive & test tow

One thing to be aware of with the ZR2 is they have an issue with the side airbags accidentally deploying when off road on side leaning roads/hills I been following a few of the online forums and there are several posts about it. Quite a few were not covered under warranty to the tune of $5000+ for r...

Re: 2012 5.7 oil filter part number

The 2008-2013 5.7 PW takes Mopar # 4884899AC or MO-899 on the box. The 05-07 PW takes Mopar # 5281090AB or MO-090 on the box. Sometimes these get mixed up the 899 is smaller in diameter than the 090.

I've had both Purple Cranium and Carli front covers. The Purple Cranium leaked after some direct hits because it does not protect the bottom of the lip of the cover the Carli cover is the best. As far as it hitting more rocks that's not been my experience after 10 year of off road travels with it t...

Re: "Smart" Sway Bar, discontinued part. Help please!

Not sure if you indicated this already but does the swaybar disconnect actually work, if it does it might just be the locker actuator? I had the exact same symptoms, see this thread, http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5085 and it was the rear locker actuator. If it is the smartb...

Re: More problems

Truck started driving strange. Was accelerating very hesitantly, and then surging. Check engine light came on so ran to autozone and scanned the code. Came back as oil sending unit, took it to dealership and they are saying its the cam, lifters and gasket to the tune of $3000. Not sure what to do, ...

Interesting but as others have indicated the sand color is an acquired taste and not for everyone that may make it a littler harder to resell when the time comes as well.

Re: Noob's 2013 Power Wagon Build

The more you modify a vehicle the less reliable it becomes that's not what you want in the back country. IMO stick with the stock tune for reliability sake and get something that can adjust for tire size and get out and enjoy your truck! Look at your own signature. I am not saying mods are ba...
