Re: Tranny Guard for ≤'13 Power Wagon

Your best bet is finding a local shop to make you a “one off” unit, or bother Maple offroad, he may look into it if there is enough interest showed. Only problem with the latter is Maple and Marcus are friends and since Maple “who is a real standup guy” doesn't want to step on any toes, it may neve...

Re: 37" tires with 25mm offset

Hey, hey, now. I believe the OP wanted to hear from people experienced with tire fitment on a 2020. I know the Rams haven't changed much, but I believe he should have the respect to get a response from a 2020 owner who did some tire upgrades.

Re: Tranny Guard for ≤'13 Power Wagon

I would buy one for my 2006. I am always amazed at the lack of protection there when I crawl under the truck. Thanks for chiming in. Yes, it is amazing one of the most expensive and delicate areas are left unprotected. Not to mention environmental impact if you drain your tranny pan on the trail. S...

Re: Tranny Guard for ≤'13 Power Wagon

There’s a lot of these trucks out there. The problems are that guys with older trucks don’t invest in them, the money they would invest frequently goes to repairs, and there’s fewer of them. I probably sell 15:1 suspension parts for 14-present vs 03-13 trucks. There is a market, the question is alw...

Re: 14+ Possible Fan Clutch failure?

Also, look for any movement in the fan while off of course. You shouldn't be able to jiggle it at all. Also, look for silicone leakage on it. But, I do remember some period before full out failure that it stayed on more than it normally did during acceleration, especially after first start up. While...

Re: 14+ Possible Fan Clutch failure?

Let's see. 1 fan clutch on a '97 TJ. 1 fan clutch on wifey's '03 Trailblazer and 2 fan clutches on a '02 2500 Burb. Either I've had bad luck or beach riding is a bitch on these things (sand/salt air). It's been a while, but If I recall there was some intermittent weirdness before they had a full out...

Re: Tranny Guard for ≤'13 Power Wagon

I prototyped the 03-13 trucks and they are a pain in the butt. The mounting methods just aren’t there and it was going to be a lot more expensive to make the skid plates, and with a much smaller demand. Additionally I was trying to make the skid plate work for the diesels, which make things VERY di...

Re: Tranny Guard for ≤'13 Power Wagon

If you want more traction, try posting some pics or drawings of your prototype, this is the internet... people like pretty pictures. I want one just like the one Dethloff's, but for an earlier model. He cuts off at '14. So, no need to reengineer the main part of his guard, it must mount differently...

Re: Tranny Guard for ≤'13 Power Wagon

I've never have hit my tranny pan or the cross over. But have destroyed the 3 bars under there. Maple Off-road makes a nice replacement for that. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk They came out with that after I placed the bars. You need to smash them again so you get the Maple one....l...

Re: Tranny Guard for ≤'13 Power Wagon

Yes, the topic is ≤13. I've been in touch with Marcus. No pre '14 for early 4th or 3rd gens, and no plans to develop one. That's why I am checking interest. The rest of the Wagon's underside is pretty well protected. It's beyond me why the tranny would be left so exposed. Maybe an outpouring of inte...

Thanks. It's Hammertone Candy Red powder coat w/another clear powder coat. I figured being in rustylvania I would pay a little extra for more coats. Black decals.

Tranny Guard for ≤'13 Power Wagon

How many people on here would buy a tranny / cross over pipe guard for a ≤ 2013 Power Wagon if somebody actually made one?

Looks, looky...these will be going on tomorrow. Went with the Hammertone red because I have some red highlights on my truck, but didn't want that in your face red under my truck. Also went with black decals for all you decal haters. I felt it was a way to have decals but subdued. This will probably ...
