Re: Maple Offroad Rock Sliders

Nice. I have the Maple sliders and 3 bar replacement skid plate on my '13. I've abused them pretty hard at Rausch Creek. They hold up really well. Be prepared to paint them when they get drug over / around boulders. I absolutely hammered my passenger side slider toward the front the first time I too...

Thanks. Definitely one of the more tedious jobs I've done. Need more elbows and smaller hands to do this job.

Re: SimonandSimonBeast Build

A couple things to note on the early 4th gens (mine is 2013). The AEV instructions must be geared to late 4th gens. The plastic faring where the new intake exits through to the fender area has to be cut clean through to the rear side of it vs just being opened more. Right about the same area I had t...

Re: 14+ 5.13 Gears, Noisy?

I am not an expert in this, but I had some crappy shop (hindsight is 20/20) put 4.10s on a TJ once. They totally screwed up torquing the pinion bearing. As I understand it, once you go too far you have to start over with a new crush sleeve. Mine was so bad it spun the pinion bearing race, which is n...

Re: Opinions on light placement

Plus, in some states like PA for example, the regs are a little gray but has a statement about auxiliary lights above the headlights need to be covered on the road. So, for that reason, plus the hood glare potential I chose to stay away from anything up high, so as to not get any undue attention.

Power Wagons @ Rausch Creek October /November

I figure now is as good a time as any to check for interest in hitting RC in the November timeframe. I know at least a couple people expressed interest in November.

We had a great time. Weather couldn't have been better. Banana man tried, but without arms a bit useless. Some of Ryan's good friends were there and did a great job spotting.

Re: Power Wagons @ Rausch Creek early September

This is that frame twister section at Rausch Creek where I tore up my rear fenders in June. His time There was a tiny bit of rub since my rear axle mod (moved back 1.5"), but no damage. One spot were the vid skips I got out to take a look. The rear tires were centered nicely when completely stuffed....

Re: Going without TPMS Sensors

One other thing. I've changed sensors twice (I have a '13). Once on my stock wheels just because they were end of life. There is a battery in each sensor that eventually dies, like any battery. They didn't all go out at once, so the cost was spread out. And then when I bought the new rim/tire combo....

Re: Going without TPMS Sensors

Yeah, I find the TPMS helpful when the seasons change. I take a peek to see if I need to up the pressure in any of the tires without having to get a guage out. Also, I have Alpha OBD in addition to Procal, but have never had to reprogram after I did the low pressure setting on Procal, regardless of ...

Re: Going without TPMS Sensors

I can't speak to passing inspection. When I ordered new wheels / tires, I just ordered them with sensors in and tires mounted and balanced. I used my AEV Procal to set the alarm at a min of 35 psi. That is what I run my rears at, so no alarms until I air down for off road. Sent from my Moto Z (2) us...
