Setting locker air gap
I have had the typical flashing locker light on my 05 for years and I'm going to try and set the air gap and see if it helps. My question is how do you energize the locker to set the gap if the lockers wont engage? Do you just run wires from the trucks batteries and hook them up to the positive and ...

Re: Expedition One Bumper For Ram
I was looking at a warn bumper and they said that the heavy duty series m12, m15 wouldn't fit their bumper. From the sound of their website this bumper might be the same. I read somewhere that people with aftermarket bumpers had issues with the inner wheel well liner gap between the bumper was causi...

Re: another locker thread
I should be able to measure resistance on the magnet and volts from the wires right? Is the magnet and the actuator different things and I can jumper the wire on the plug to eliminate the lockers for trouble shooting right?

Re: another locker thread
That's why I was thinking about just putting 12 volts to the lockers and see if it engages, if what rusty said to do works that would save me some time but I didn't think it would lock in if the service 4wd light was on. It would be nice if it wasn't part of the locker that was bad .

My service 4wd light is on and my rear locker light is blinking on my 05. The smart bar has been replaced and didn't help and I clean my magnets and change the fluid regularly. I'm going to be changing the fluid soon and I'd like to test the locker to see if it's the problem. Do I just hook 12 volts...

Re: transmission
The shops around here are kinda expensive for a rebuilt and not a reman. So definitely not don't go with Ats? Sharadon includes the pan so I guess that's where some of the extra money goes to. I'd like to have a reman so all the internals are replaced.

Re: transmission
Ats is 450$ cheaper than the sharadon performance and it seems like they both have the same work done to them. Sharafom includes a pan a Ats doesn't but I can use my factory pan for now.

Re: transmission
It's looking like Ats transmission would be about the same price as all the rebuilds and remans around here. Does anyone have experience with Ats transmissions?

I'm really surprised it lasted this long. It had a hard life. But it did make it home last night without locking up so that's good. Saved me a tow bill.

I lost 3rd gear tonight and barly made it home. I started having trouble 2 days ago. I have code p0700 I have to get an actual scanner to see what code is in there. Is it better to get a used transmission or get mine rebuilt? Also is there any difference in the power wagons transmission?

Re: Locker lights...
I've owned mine since 2010 and the light has always been on. After 2 trips to the dealers getting shafted out of 500$ for a fluid change of the wrong fluid, replacing the smart bar myself I gave up. Light is still on. Every once in a while it goes out and the lockers will lock right in.

Re: How To: 271 transfer case rebuild
I was thinking about selling my camaro and buying a 07 5.9 mega cab diesel and swaping and manual t case in it. I'm no computer expert or truck expert but it would seem like you could get the t case harness from an 08 power wagon or something with a manual t case and plug it up to your truck so it g...
