Re: bed mounted antenna, where are you all running your cable into the cab?
So I ended up taking off the back plate from the rambox bed where the bed extender connects and found a little 5/8" hole to run the cable. Then I took out the driver side rambox and ran the cable over the braces and down the front assembly. Then I ran it through the drivers side bin, where I notched...

you arent worried about downward pressure on the lid of the bins from foot traffic cutting or smashing your cable? I might just do that.

Re: antenna mounts for rambox?
It's just a spring mount for the CB antenna (Alaskans are still mostly using CB, better radios haven't caught on up here). I normally keep it tied down on the highway and in town so I don't do damage in drive-thrus. I've been reading a lot about how mounting behind the cab is really bad. How long i...

Re: antenna mounts for rambox?
Well I hope he answers my email today, I would like to get the ball rolling.
I was thinking to have a riser come off the top about 2 or 3 inches which would give clearance for any type of mounts that have a right angle cable connection. I would be using NMO but I might want CB options too.

Re: antenna mounts for rambox?
I’d be happy to make a corner plate into an antenna mount. The geometry and mounting is all figured out as it’s part of my racks. One plate with antenna mounting and grounding would be a easy solution and leave your bed rails open for a tonneau. Marcus Dethloff Mfg That would be awesome! I will hit...

antenna mounts for rambox?
More posting! So I bought a 2m / 70cm radio and looking at the antenna mounts, rambox is coming up short! So how are you guys mounting your antennas with rambox? I was thinking of drilling the back bumper but I dont want it hitting and scratching up the paint/tailights. Then I though about mounting ...

12vdc to 5vdc output hub
Is there a 12v to 5v dc hub or something I can plug a bunch of micro electronics into for hard power? Like something I can connect to the battery and stick under the dash to hardwire camera, GPS, etc. I have already replaced the usb charging outlet with a dual port quick charger but I would like som...

Re: offroad gimbal mounts for action cams like gopro?
Here's my GoPro mounted on the windshield using the GoPro vacuum mount. And here inside my track car using a Ram mount. See the truck video? I would like to eliminate the horizontal sway of the camera when its tilting through the mud holes. Keep the camera flat but the truck movement would be ok. Y...

how to fix axle hop? 2018 PFA
I have a 2018 PW and I noticed that when I am going up 20-30 ft sand dunes, the truck has a real problem with bouncing and hopping. Anyone know what this is and how to fix it? Is it the axles hopping? The more I press the gas the worse it gets to where the truck bucks like a horse. received_60339798...

offroad gimbal mounts for action cams like gopro?
What are you guys doing for video mounts on your trucks for outdoor footage? I was thinking a gimbal mount would be best, that I could attach to the windshield and remove when its not being used. I would like something inside to be protected but im not opposed to mounting it on the hood. Ultimately ...

Re: New truck, new nanny to hate.
I have one of those bypass cables. It sucks. There are no directions and it implies you should connect it to two different jumper blocks, one of which doesn’t exist in a 2018 power wagon. Complexly worthless. Just throw a couple of $20s out the window, it’s a lot less frustrating. I got mine from s...

Re: Locker Bypass Rebirth
Well specifically what I meant was why the safety features exist when you still cant lock it down and disconnect even after meeting them. When all the criteria in the logic is satisfied, the locker will be energized to engage (your light(s) will still be blinking). When alignment takes place, AND t...

Re: Locker Bypass Rebirth
I wonder what safety garbage actually makes locking such a pain. Like what are the conditions and why are they there? I agree you normally wouldnt use lockers until you need them, but by then its too late to engage since you have to be on flat ground, turning in a circle, opening the back door and t...
