Re: WK Slider Options
you could order the sliders with the top plate, and spray the entire top of the plate with linex, new black steel it coating for the rails themselves. touch up on the sides and undersides of the slider with Steel it would be extremely easy. with the right prep, any unscathed steel it should last an...

Re: WK Slider Options
No way in hell I would put LINEX or a bedliner on them. Even if you will be using them heavily in the rocks, I would still probably pay for the powdercoat. It will obviously still get removed on the bottom side, but the top side will hold up MUCH better and last a lot longer than just paint. Althou...

Re: WK Slider Options
I will be ordering WK sliders really soon. It sucks not having them because it limits me on the trails I do. While doing Crown King in AZ there were a couple of optional obstacles that I didn't do because of not having them and one section that came about 1" from hitting under the rocker panel (aft...

Re: Viair vs ARB
Nothing is as fast or quiet as co2 That's for sure, but I don't want to deal with having to refill it or constantly worry about running out when its really needed. Plus it's pretty big to store. A fish scale alleviates the worry about running out unexpectedly. CO2 is measured by weight, you know ex...

Re: Viair vs ARB
How about dual Viair compressors of some sort hooked up to a 5+ gallon tank? Seems like the OBA setups only come with 2.5 gallon tanks max. I'm wondering if the larger tank like 5 gallon would be beneficial for airing up all 4 tires from 20psi-40/35 quickly. A 5 gallon tank like this design could w...

Re: Viair vs ARB
[/quote] But, I wonder if an arb twin would fill a tire twice as fast as one of those? Which would result in less “stuff” to pack. Tanks are good and all for quick punches for air tools and horns and such, but once they are empty then its back to relying on the compressors output. I dont really see ...

Re: Viair vs ARB
6.16 CFM is pretty impressive. Put one on each side of the truck and air two tires at a time and you'd be fast as fuuuuuuuuuuuk  But also, man are you spending the :cash: I'm going to have about $389.00 in my setup and be able to air up all 4 tires at once. Soooo exciting. Now if it would j...

still cant believe how much room there is when this is fit in the ram box. https://i.ibb.co/JczMKsw/IMG-0793.jpg How are you liking the twin? The more and more research I do, the more I'm leaning towards the twin. I don't want to end up kicking myself in the ass for buying something that puts out h...

Puma looks interesting, but with the size of it I would want it mounted. Has anyone mounted a puma or seen mounted on a PW?

Re: Viair vs ARB
The 400p automatic seems cool but it looks like you have to hold down lever the entire time while filling up. That seems terrible when doing all 4 tires! My wife made a Velcro strap to hold down the handle on the inflator handle on our Viair 450. It's simple and it works great but of course I keep ...

Re: Viair vs ARB
I'm adding two more this year, vs onboard air. Once a tank is empty you have to refill the tank. And I've seen some real world demos showing that a 2.5 gallon tank isn't any faster than the dual compressor. So this year my plan is to plumb a full system with quick disconnect next to each tire. Four...

Re: Viair vs ARB
I have a 400p, been using it for around 5 years. It has no problem airing up my 37’s, it’s not the fastest out there but we are always doing other things while it’s airing up. Usually packing up camp or reorganizing the cab, making sure stuff in the bed is good to go. I’ve never wished I went for a...

Re: Viair vs ARB
You want portable or permanent? The Viair 450p is a pretty good bang for your buck in my opinion for a portable unit. If I ever get around to an on-board mounted setup, I think I will be going the dual ARB route. There's my dilemma. Portable or permanent both have their perks. If I go portable I'll...

Re: Viair vs ARB
I have the single arb as well as the dual and a co2 tank all in different vehicles. All pretty good options depending on usage, but if you’re just airing up tires 15-20 psi I’d definitely just get a viair if you’re wanting to keep it at $300 or less. You’ll get more bang for your buck with a viair ...

Viair vs ARB
It's time to get a good air compressor. I was about to pull the trigger on the Viair 400p or 440p. Then I came across the ARB CKMA12 which is the single OBA and puts out about the same output as the 440p. The twin ARB OBA would be awesome, but I can't see myself spending that much on a compressor. I...

Re: Steering Pop and Vibration
While I was down there I greased the driveshaft and notice some play/clunk in the driveshaft when spinning it back and forth. Seemed like the slop/noise was coming from the very end towards the axle. It could have been coming from the last little coupler (don't know what to call it), last piece befo...

Re: Steering Pop and Vibration
Culprit was drag link nut! It was about a full turn from being tight. I dont have the proper tool/wrench for it so I grabbed some pliers, both feet on the axle while laying on my back and went to town to tighten. No more popping! Thanks for all the input guys!

Re: Steering Pop and Vibration
I had a similar issue going on with my previous power wagon. I agree with damage wagon, start with your track bar and then move to the u joints after that. Mine had a bad wheel bearing and was behaving similarly to what you’re experiencing, but I think it was in conjunction with a bad u joint. U jo...

Re: Steering Pop and Vibration
Make sure your trackbar is TIGHT on both ends. If that doesn’t fix it I’d be looking st a front u-joint gone bad. The rear LSD in these trucks does not make noise or lock up and there is no LSD in the front. It is a gear type in the rear. I'll take a look at the trac bar. Isn't it supposed to be to...
