Re: 2005 Power Wagon hand me down or keep it as my own?
Don’t want to hi-jack OP’s thread. No mods required for a 2005 35’s. I run AT’s so not certain on MT’s. Spare fits under bed. No rubbing. Believe rubbing problems were w Gen 4 & if you go to 37’s. Good threads in Brakes, Tires,,,,for more info. No worries. I just got Falken Wildpeak MT's 35's my fa...

Re: 2005 Power Wagon hand me down or keep it as my own?
I taught my daughter to drive using my '99 Ram 1500 regular cab/short bed 4x4 with a 4" lift and 37" tires. She loved driving that thing. She had to beat the boys off of her when she would take the truck to school. Her girl friends loved that truck too. She put more miles on it than me until ...

Re: 2005 Power Wagon hand me down or keep it as my own?
Thanks for the feedback! I think the fact that my son has seen how much TLC I have put into it, he would be driving around on pins and needles making sure nothing happened to it which gives me a bit of peace of mind that he wouldn't trash it right away. On the other hand, like you all implied, it ma...

2005 Power Wagon hand me down or keep it as my own?
Hi all, been a while since I've been on here. The ole 05 is still going strong with about 180k on her. She is starting to get a little grey sunburn on the hood and cab (kind of like me LOL)Anyhow, I am thinking about handing the keys over to my son who will be getting his drivers license in about 18...

Re: Powerwagon's best model year 2005-2020?
Without question, 2005 is the best year. Why I haven't had to put more than a new battery in it in 15 years. Might need some tires here soon though... Just need to find a 2005 with about 5,000 miles on it and I would be all over it! [emoji38] I only have about 5000 per year... Sent from my SM-G965U...

Re: Powerwagon's best model year 2005-2020?
Ok. I knew this was going to be a monkey sh*t fight when I saw the first post. I really think each gen (hey let's not forget the original PW or the 70s models boys), have their own pros and cons. From simplicity to complexity. From higher vis shorter wheel base to longer wheel base higher comfort. ...

Re: Powerwagon's best model year 2005-2020?
Newer is better. I see all the time guys say their 2005-09 is the best because of some minor things, while the truck is burning to the ground behind them and they’re lying on the ground with a broken back because their grab handle ripped out while they were fixing the arcing door wiring harness tha...

Powerwagon's best model year 2005-2020?
Just getting the conversation going as I am considering upgrading to a newer model than my trusty 2005. (Ssh don't let her know, she's possessed!) :D Would like to hear what the experts have to say. I won't be able to afford a brand new one so I have been researching what is out there used and there...

Edit: looks like the company is out of Utah but they come from Austrailia? Anyhow they do have them for the 3G PW'S!! Might have to order one up and see how it goes.

I was looking at getting one of Ranch hands bumpers a while back that looked like it would work. Still haven't commited to it though. This image is from their website.

Re: 3rd Gen PW question
I'm considering ordering a 2020 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited My buddy got the hots for a Rubi UL, sold me his Tundra TRD Crewmax, and after three years decided he really preferred a truck. Dumped the Rubi and went back to a Tundra TuRD Pro. He wanted a PW based on trips in my '05, but new ones would not ...
