Re: October is expensive truck month, part 2

What offset for those wheels? Makes all the difference on how much they rub with 37's (or even 35's sometimes).

Rent a press, they're not that hard to do. For that kind of money you could just buy a decent one and still have money in your pocket. Plus you can check the unit bearings while you have it apart.
EMF Ball Joints are a good option.

Re: Locker Bypass Rebirth

Low_Sky, You may be right, but..... When stock I rarely was able to get my front lockers to lock without a fair amount of driving in an S pattern or getting the right combination of slip/traction. With BLM's kit, they lock instantly (or close enough that I've never noticed even a 1/4 of wheel rotati...

Re: WK Sliders - To diamond plate or not?

For those that are seeing some occasional brown rust on your WK sliders, don't mess with black paint. Buy a can of rust converter. It sprays on (or brushes on if you buy the liquid version) and converts the rust to a semi-gloss black. Much better than painting over the rust.

Re: Tazer or ProCal

I had zero problem with setting the tire size on the Tazer, not to take away from the person who DID have an issue. There is a pretty new firmware upgrade for the Tazer RAM that keeps some things cleaned up. Procal is pretty limited. I also have AlfaOBD and used it to reset the TPMS Threshold. Also ...

Re: WK Sliders - To diamond plate or not?

I have the full length diamond plate and prefer it. You can unbolt the diamond plate of you decide to take it off. Or you can get partial length diamond plate. The thing that I found most useful as a step is to have them made 1"wider. Then they really work well as a step. So, I have the 1" extra wi...

Aren't these labeled and sold as sliders? Haven't seen them advertised as steps... [emoji3]
Definitely 'sliders.' But they work great as steps, at least mine do. I got the 1" wider version specifically for that reason.

Re: 2018 Power Wagon Brake Issues

The pedal should not go to the floor. Many times in Moab I was on the brake pretty hard for an extended time while creeping down some of the very steep downhills. If the pedal had gone to the floor I would have rammed my front bumper into the bottom of the descent several times. I used to have a Nis...

Re: WK Sliders - To diamond plate or not?

The entire slider is 1" wider (if you order the wider width), including the diamond plate. The outer edge is the same either way: Round tube with the diamond plate sitting on top. I just got back from a week at Moab and got them scraped up, but a quick bit of rust converter or black paint and they w...

https://powerwagonsinmoab.com/ I was going to write this big post about how we have AEV as a partner and someone will win a set of their wheels... Big THANK YOU to AEV, Mike, Jordanee, all the guides/spotters and everyone else who helped put this on. I was lucky enough to come back with a new set o...

Re: I Give Up! RustyPW was RIGHT

The Tazer RAM lets you hold the ESP button for 5 seconds to turn it all off. You need the Tazer plugged in for this function to work.

Re: 2013-2018 Change Dealer Settings Yourself: TPMS, LED, HID, Tire Size etc With AlphaOBD!

I think I'm going to buy a cheap android device and get this software. Let us know how it works for you. I have a Tazer Ram, which has lots of great features. Would be nice to know if with this AlfaOBD software you really CAN set TPMS without any other device needed (along with your 4 digit code). ...

I'm in Houston and need to get offroad a couple of times before I head to Moab in April/May. Anyone headed out anywhere close (San Antonio, Waco, etc.)
