Re: Torn Bicep Muscle

Don't get frustrated with seemingly slow progress. It takes time to heal and you will probably never be 100% agian especiallwith your advanced age
Just imagine if that had happened 100 years ago you would probably never have been able to use that arm agian at all!

Re: Warranty and Winch Cable

:lockedandloaded: When winching there needs to be several wraps of line on the drum when putting a load in the line. The little lug on the end is not designed to keep the line on the drum, it's the wraps left on the drum that keep it from coming off. If you put a load in the line with only one or tw...

Re: Another Death Wobble post

I run 315-70-17 bfg at/ko on my 06 CTD, never had death wobble at pressures from about 30 up to 55. My truck did have sloppy steering though. It now has a carli track bar, carli bj's, rancho9000 shocks and a rancho steering damper and a BD steering brace. Now steers almost as good as my Miata!

Re: More camper shenanigans

I recently converted a small smoky joe charcoal BBQ gril into a "campfire in a can" with lava rock and cermaic log looking pieces so that I can now have a camp fire even in fire ban periods. California included!

Re: Torn Bicep Muscle

Take all the pain meds as prescribed, better to stay ahead of the curve. Do all of the necessary therapy but don't over do it. You will return to almost normal quick that way! Good luck...

That Oliver trailer is heavier than my home built and at $46,000 waaaay more expensive. Granted my trailer does not have plumbing but I don't really need that any, bears do s**t in the woods after all.

Don't skimp on the pain meds, better to keep ahead of it than to try to stop it after it gets unbearable. Advice from many health advisors.

Re: Another reason the Diesel PW may have never happened

You guys are missing the point, old power wagons were just regular 4x4 dodges and have a looong history, some people just feel any 4x4 dodge should be called a PW. If I owned a modern PW I wouldn't care what anyone else put on their truck. I do have a diesel and it has gotten me everywhere I wanted ...

Any light source will follow the inverse square law no matter how it is generated. What make or breaks vehicle LED lighting is the optics used to direct the light out put. Optics for LEDs are getting much better!!!!

Re: Diesel Power Wagon... Again..

If I ever have to replace my 06 CTD I will get an old 12 valve. Even less maint. cost than my 06. I would never get a newer one with all the environmental junk on it. The only reason I got a common rail diesel is cause it is quieter  But then Trump is eliminating the EPA so maybe in the future ...

I agree with NTS. I'm a RTOF (retired old fart) and my suspension lifted ctd with open diff's get me anywere I need to go and back. I love the fuel mileage and towing torque. I have not noticed any more maintenance costs than my old V6 dakota other than the larger amout of oil for an oil change. I d...

Re: Duratracs have to go, need options.

I have 315-70-17 D KO2's on my diesel. Had them for about 3 years now and do plenty of rough off pavement travel for search and rescue and recreational use. I often tow a 3500+ camping trailer. The tires work well for what I do, never had them in snow since I live in central AZ. Any tire will pick u...

Re: Diesel Power Wagon... Again..

hey i just bought one! oh wait...forgot i just sold the 2012 PW. But now i have the Cummins for towing. Found out last night on a search and rescue call the 2500 Cummins can never replicate a PW's suspension. AEV can't possibly improve the flex. Suprisingly the 20's aren't too bad, but i'm still th...
